My agent who is also a lawyer, said only mainland china passport holder needs to submit passport as they need visa to enter to Canada. HKSAR passport holder is not necessary. Therefore, I wonder why people still submit...
As my agent said, no need to send passport to HKVO for HKSAR holder. However, I think people here won't know as HKVO sent back passport would not say it's not necessary.
i just asked my agent, she said the canadian consulate need to collect passport for issuance immigrate visa. are your agent mean copy all passport pages for the application use? because i did copied all my passport pages for application.
All HKSAR passport holder goes through my agent doesn't need to give the passport to HKVO, as only the passport holder that needs visa enter to Canada has to give the passport to HKVO. Therefore, I don't know why you need to give the passport to HKVO.
