I am still in the process searching for Montessori for my daughter. Every parent has their own option. It's a tough choice.
On yesterday news, Child-safety urge parents not to buy baby-walker. The CTV news shows a baby in Montreal got 2nd degree burn because the little one grap the kettle wire while it's boiling the water. The news shows the burn area :-( :-( (see link: News)
It reminds my child. She had an accident when she was 10 months old. She was on the baby-walker and fell 8 steps down to the basement. (The phone rang. My wife went to grap the phone and next thing she heard is a big "bang". I was upstair in my bedroom) We rushed her to York hospital. Luckily except three stitches on her left foreheard, she is doing fine.

sorry to hear what happen to your girl. Is the scar obvious?? but it should fade away when she grow up.
just to share another incident. I had dinner in my friend's home few years ago. She got a baby boy for about 1 year old in the walker. He knocked her mother down while she was holding a bowl of hot soup ready to serve the dinner. The whole bowl spilt over to the baby boy and he got the serious burn (I don't know what degree), but we quickly sent him to Queen Elizebath Hopsital where he stays for over 6 months to do the plastic surgenry (to change the skin). very sad. Now, we could stay see those scar on the arm....
I had had my exam this morning at 8:30 a.m.; so M&M I should have seen your co-worker. It's easy, I'm sure I'll pass - should I say this full beforehand???

I really feel regret after promising my elder to let her go camping - Holly's case/West Nile virus. However, I will say this will be the only time, not ever until 18 - she can make her decision herself. I know, I can't sleep well during those two nights and must keep an eye on her if anything wrong after that (touchwood). The leader said they won't go outdoors early morning and evening, and it should be safer at the North for the West Nile than Toronto.
Did you buy one of those cheat book available in those chinese book store? My wife had handed her application form for citizen exam. Any good book she should read?
She is american citizen but with what 'Bush' government had done to the world. She feels safer to use Canadian passport for travel than the Eagle passport.
I remembered when that donut shop grand opening, I waited in line almost an hour. However, I found it no different than a mouth full of sugar while giving a plain donut a bite (I don't have a sweet tooth).
I know in Yonge/Eglington, there is spy shop. I seen once that they sell wearable device with GPS enable. By giving this device to your daughter, you may feel safer, if she wears it, that is.

I had not bought any "hints" book for the exam. However, I have outlined the notes from the booklet (mailed to me after sending the application) and some questions from my sister, given to her by a friend, given to her friend by ... and so on. Nearly all the questions is out from that papers. I have put all these into my computer, I can email to you. You can PM me your email address.
