150kg
that's about the weight of 4-1/4 piglets.
6 boxes, 1.5ft cube each.

Not too bad, already much better than what I 1st imagined (six 1meter cube cartons).

I go to 灣仔書節 on SAT and see Ms Fong there.

I buy few books of YOUPI sets and few sticker books.

My son love the Youpi sets very much ah..

Must be the items weren't too attractive,
otherwise I bet you won't be saying this.

Learnt from a buddy that P1 interview for a private school included : some physical test, eg skipping on 1 foot.

Just learnt from the van driver that the warehouse said one of the cartons were "damaged" - don't know what extent, hopefully just broken carton box.
The warehouse refused to release cargo until and unless the shipping co calls them back and confim warehouse can release.

numbers - 一二三

How come read 我是xxx first ? ?-(

And if she is in K1 (from my memory), cannot recognized many words ga ja woh.

Come on, she is only 23m ja ! Still too young to know that there are many Chin characters other than '我是xxx'.

Or you tell her (that there are many Chin characters other than '我是xxx') la !

And you should start from the v simple Chin characters. Even 1st chapter of nursery textbooks is difficult for her.

It is only in K2 that kids really start to "learn" Chin characters ga !

I have the same problem. Jason is now 2 years 8 months old. I start teaching him some simple Chinese character, like 水, 火, 山, 口, 耳 etc. But every time I write a Chinese character, he will say 水. If I say No, he will say 火, totally guess

Kids are like that ga la !

If they don't know / don't remember / don't want to remember, and you insist that they say something, they will simply guess !!

Even piglet behaves like that sometimes.

The "damaged" carton = re-taped by one additional layer of cellotape, according to shipping company.

The warehouse told the van driver, who asked me to call the cargo services co. and see what sort of damage.
Cargo services co. called shipping co. to check what sort of damage, was told it was re-tape (翻黏)。
Cargo services co. called me to let me know, and asked me to confirm whether the cargo is to be released nonetheless (of course la, no choice ma) !
(And I was on the phone with boss for over half an hour, during which time cargo service co and van driver called me many times.)
I've told cargo service co that I will collect cargo nonetheless.
Cargo service co need to call shipping co, then shipping co need to call warehouse, to release cargo to van driver !!
And it is near lunch time of warehouse ==> nobody working.

And the van driver has another order, so was complaining about unable to collect cargo.

Solid-brained shipping co, cargo service co and warehouse.

And we need to pay the warehouse also, ~$200 - $400 !

Just read "Two Monsters" with Kv last night and learnt some words which better describe the shipping co, cargo co and WH ....

Good news : Cargo collected by van driver la !!

True story was, the carton boxes were old boxes being re-used, and somebody (likely my cousin's staff) re-taped the boxes with cellotape on the outside. And just in case somebody broke the carton boxes somewhere on the way then re-taped together, the shipping company does not want to be held responsible for any damages / loss, so want the owner to confirm release nonetheless. Hence allllll the extra time to collect.

So in the end the van driver will charge $500 for collection, and warehouse charged $350 for "free storage".

Today lunch I will go buy pounds sterling (add HK$100 for IDDs between my cousin and I).
Tomorrow lunch I will go to 報關，==> finalize all costs and let you know how much UOI. $$$$$
