My baby also started to have red spots around her mouth & on her head from monday. & it's getting worse now, so I have to apply tacrolimus for her too. It's been more than a month that I don't see red spots around her mouth. I started to feed her congee yesterday, she had 2 teaspoons yesterday & 2 tablespoons today. Don't know whether she's allergic to rice or because of the weather as someone has told me before that either too dry or too humid, it's not good for people with eczema. The humidity of these few days is around 90%. Should I stop the congee & observe her skin reaction? ?-(
About 中醫, my friend told me that her colleague who has eczema problem went to see a chinese doctor in山林道, & she's much much better now. The doctor said if for infants (can't remember it's whether below 6months or 1 year old), it has to 靠母乳, i.e. the mother has to drink the medicine and above that age, the baby can drink the medicine her/himself. May be I will call up my friend again & find out whether her colleague has fully recovered or not.
唉, 看了那么多資料, mame 們的經歷, 再加上自己的經歷, 濕疹真的很難handle, no matter what action we take, seems just not useful. There are too many factors, pressure, BB temper, dust, food, weather, cream, detergent and so on. Really hard for us to isolate what can help and what will cause 濕疹. Seems no way to solve this problem until the BB can overcome him/herself ... Regarding chinese medicine, I hv tried giving my baby to drink, someone said good but someone said not good to give baby. Really don't know who are right. But one thing is that chinese medicine has been 4-5 thousands years' history. Should we trust it ? Of course, we should find a good doctor.
BTW, not only mame is great for a baby, I am a dad, I am just doing the same as you all.
Actually both saturated (飽和脂肪酸) & unsaturated (不飽和脂肪酸) fatty acid are found in Flaxseed oil.

Some say flaxseed oil & evening promise oil could relief eczema. But there's limited scientific evidence on that.
For adults, it's ok to consume Flaxseed oil (not supplement) (I used to buy in CityXuper, it''s good to add to breakfast cereal)
For babies, I think we'd better consult our physician first.
My friend told me that her daughter used to have eczema when she was a baby. When she was 1 year old, she let her take 小兒靈芝蜜, since then her eczema 番發的次數越來越少, she's in primary 5 now & she's ok too. 小兒靈芝蜜can only be taken after 1 year old.
