Hi Everyone,

Yes, baby was born on Feb 3. It was an emergency delivery though.

I went for my regular check-up on Feb 3. Dr. said my blood pressure was quite high and sent me to the hospital for more bloodwork right away.

Got there at 4:30, had blood drawn and blood pressure monitored. The on duty dr. said I had gestational hypertension and had to deliver right away.

Admitted to the labour room at 6pm and was given epidural at 7pm. Dr. broke my water at 8pm and induction started. Since I already had epidural, I didn't feel any contractions at all.

At around 11:30, dr checked and said I'm ready to push. After about 15mins, baby was born.

Everyone was surprised that baby only weighs 4lb 10oz. Dr. said it might be caused by my hypertension and took my placenta to the lab to find out why. Although she's a little underweight, everything else was fine. She is healthy but just a little tiny.

係妊娠高血壓呀，一直無跡象，係0個日去做產檢先知。好在發現得早，醫生話遲0左對媽媽同BB都有危險。

Congratulation Queen,

Glad both bb and you are doing great. As long as bb is healthy, weight isn't a issue cus she can catch it up afterward.

hi anniese, I am not having any pediatrician since my family doctor has such experience in HK. I find is more convenience for both myself and the baby seeing the same doctor. right now. he is accepting new patient too. if you interest i can PM you his contacts.

anniese: please check your pm .. BTW he is pity busy most of the time, you have to expect quite a long wait even you arrived there early .... but he is a very good doctor!!

he has another doctor Kwok sharing the same office with him, which I am not sure if he is good, but he queue always fast.

I will take a look when i go back. I think Toronto is lack of doctors now, so all the doctors are so busy and do not accept new patient.

also, there is a web site which you can search your recent or future doctor is having good profile or not. this is a very good web site for any of the mama here to check or search for the best doctor for your baby and family.

所以話，每一個媽媽生產過程都唔同！唔係真係到o個一刻都唔會知自己個故事係點...係好似好迷茫，唔知會點...但係原來一切都好順其自然！
