(1) did your doctor still plan to give you an E/T on day 5?
No. The E/T was cancelled. I will wait for next cycle and use the frozen 7 embryos.
(2) Any idea on your last E2 measurement?
E2 measured at 2 days before OPU was around 11k
(3) Were you on any vaginal progestone up until the 5th day?
yes, I have been taking vaginal pills since 2 days after OPU.
(4) did you mean none, or some, of those 7 embryos were good on the 5th day?
None of the 7 were "good" on the 5th day. I was suggested not to put any one back to womb.
(5) you did not have an E/T on day 5; did you mean you had no embryo on that day, or simply no E/T procedure on that day?
I was told no embryo suitable for E/T and it doesn't worth to put any one back to womb.
Good point, while many labs/docs refer to grading, many others like to speak of the cell stage. For your day-3 embryos, they look good to me because embryos on day 3 should be around 6-8 cells; some may be faster and up to 12-cell.
My personal view is that cell stage becomes more important as we grow embryos longer in the lab. On day-2, embryos have only undergone one or two cell divisions, i.e. giving you a 2-cell or 4-cell embryo. By day-3, embryos should have undergone at least 3 cell- divisions, hence, developing to the 6-8 cell stage. You see, this can sometimes be more difficult to explain or visualize; so grading seems a little easier.
In my centre, my doctors usually tell you both the cell stage and the grading. When you are told of the details of the embryos, it gives you a better sense of the picture. In reality, we will only give embryos to you (either for ET or for freezing) if we see potential in the embryos. Otherwise, we simply tell you the embryo is not good, or not-continue-to-grow, etc.
As for FET, we often thaw the embryos some time earlier than your actual FET, i.e. to keep them in culture for a while. This is because we want to see if your embryos survive the thawing and show us signs of growth.
In general, if 繼續培養會全軍覆沒,I would suspect the embryos have no potential and that's why they all stop growing. They declare their incompetence in the dish rather than hiding in your womb giving you a bingo illusion. Although the fact is 殘酷, you don't have to waste time going through ET after ET and wondering if it is your endometrium or immune system that is not working.
As you said, you had taken hormone medication and that's why your cycles were 24 or 26 days. Hormones, especially the way we use it for IVF, are of very high dosage and the body would never "see" such high levels of them if not for IVF purpose. So, your cycle length does not reflect your overall health at all. As long as your period is not of unusual heavy flow, your body is happy enough to replenish the lost blood. I read somewhere that regular menstrual periods (with normal flow) are one of the ways our bodies detoxify the daily toxins we inhale or ingest into our body system. So, back to my same old saying, keep a healthy lifestyle and do things in moderation are keys to success.

(P.S. I have no objections to 補血, e.g. eating some lean beef, drinking 桂圓紅棗茶, etc. are all fine.)
In comparing your E2 (11k) to the number of eggs you retrieved, you had more eggs than we would normally expect. But that often happens in women with PCOS; and I guess out of your 33 eggs, there were quite a few immature eggs and that's why the number of embryos narrowed down to 14.
Just by random luck, you probably have the good embryos frozen while the not-so-good embryos in culture to day-5. As I mentioned in my last post to littleantant:
"In general, if 繼續培養會全軍覆沒,I would suspect the embryos have no potential and that's why they all stop growing. Do note that if the embryos are not cultured, we can't tell. To look from a brighter angle, if this is a cycle with at least one good embryo that can make a baby, instead of going through 14 to find this real prince/princess, now you know it is hiding in among 7; in other words, you will find him/her quicker. In true reply to your original question -- I don't know how you define "low", all I see is that you still have a reasonable chance of conception.
Don't get overly frustrated, many jm's got their fruit(s) from FET. Just read a few posts earlier. Try to recover from this round and you will be all good again.

my cycle before was very irregular, 30 days to 120 days. but after taking chinese medicine, my cycle becomes 28 to 32 days. should i use natural cycle or taking hormones when i do FET?
moreover, more information to you. I don't think i have OHSS when i did my ivf in oct 10 (cos i only retrieved 8 eggs, with 4 fertilised). But on day 5 after my ET, i got abdominal pain and i went to hospital. they did u/s and said that there is ascites in my abdomen. One day later, i was discharged. In Dec 10, i did hysteroscopy. 2 weeks later, i had abdominal pain again, and went to hospital. and again, ascites in my abdomen. and now, the ascites has decreased 80% , but still, there's still some water inside. I don't know whether this is ascites induced by ivf or is this OHSS?
so, i don't know whether my case is so complicated which caused my failure during ET. Do you have any comments?
There are a few things you may need to consult with your IVF doctor before proceeding with any treatment.
(1) Although taking chinese medicine gives you regular menstrual periods, do you know if these cycles also come along with ovulation?
(2) If you plan FET, tell your doctor about this chinese medicine therapy and see if you can use a natural cycle. [I suspect you may need to stop the chinese medicine at least for your FET cycle and use hormonal replacement for FET.]
(3) I don't think the ascites (is this the exact term the doctor used?) is caused by OHSS. Any result with your hysterscopy on Dec 10?
(4) Do you know if you are allergic to anything?
My thinking is, firstly, your case is not as complicated as you think if ascites is the only issue. Secondly, and sadly, if you had good embryos for transfer, the ascites or the reason that caused it might have also caused the failure. So, before you use your frozen embryos in an FET, I hope your doctor can figure out the cause of the ascites and avoid its recurrence in your FET.

Have you got your ET done? Hope everything went well.
一般塞藥14日係足夠, because you will do your pregnancy test around the 14th/15th day. If you bingo, your doctor will usually prescribe more vaginal progesterone (塞藥). If the embryos have not implanted, 塞藥or not miss M will still come.
It's hard to say; if we observe 2-cell on day 2 morning, many of these embryos can in fact grow to 4-cell same day afternoon. Have you ever had your embryos grown to day 3 or even day 5?

I always got 2-cell embryos on day 2. It grows a bit slow. Is it my problem or my husband problem and how to improve it?
I believe "連續做ivf" does not mean you have to continue repeating IVF every month. The resting in between cycles may take 1-6 months, or more if you need it.
Other than bingo, your physical and psychological readiness, together with your financial status, are equally important in seeking further IVF treatment when you have failed this round. The point is, if you intend to get a baby, don't wait too long in between cycles. As for how long you should rest or wait, anything from 1 month to up to 1 year is reasonable. If you are younger, of course you can afford to wait a little longer; but if you are 40 or beyond, then don't wait a whole year.
Age and DNA/chromosome problem are inter-related. Your embryo(s) likely carried some chromosomal abnormalities which slowed and stopped further growth. However, the abnormality itself is not passed on from you; it arose from errors during cell division.
For baby aspirin, do you mean day 2 counted from the day of ET, or day 2 of your stimulation cycle?
