無論Agent或僱主Keep工人passport都係犯法架!俾返工人啦。

Hi pyc

My maid will be finished her 2nd contrat on Aug 7 and I want to continue hire her. Please kindly help with the following questions:

1.)She want to take leave in Jun for two weeks back in Phlippines and stay fo the next two years contract. Is it OK?

ANS: It ok, however after renewal of contract she will still need to exit HK one time (maybe going to Macau of China and back).

2.) Of not OK then should I change the employer under my Husband's name instead just like new contract. SO her could still go back to her homeplace.

3.) If changing the employer's name, is it I do not have to pay the Long Service pay (6 yrs) when this contract finished?

ANS: It is irrelevent because she is still working for your family. All you family name is in the record.

Hi daisy17772,

If my maid wants me to give her money instead of 1 way ticket to Manila (it's because when she finishes her contract with me, she may get another contract and her new employer wants her to stay in HK), is this okay? How do I obtain ticket price quotation so that I can keep an evidence of the ticket price?

ANS: You can give her money. You can check with travel agent for the prevailing price but I don't think you can get a printed quotation from them.

You can ask her to handwritten a letter that she had requested you to give her money instead of ticket and she accept the amount in cash which is the market rate.

Hi kcris,

I employed a phil domestic helper on Jan,08, she is
first time to HK, and through a agency held bt phil in hk because that havee charge my domestic helper less amount of fee, but after she arrive, she always cried at night because of home sick and miss her 4 yr old son, and now she decide to back to phil. what can I do and what procedure I should take, thank a lot

ANS: The Helper can resign just as an employer can terminate the helper. She can give you a one month notice letter of resignation and leave your house at the end of the notice period. Or if she want to leave immediately she will have to pay you the amount equavelent of one month salary. However you can choose to forget about asking for her one month compensation.

No matter what, you will also need to pay for her transportation back to place of origin and pay for her food and travel allowance.

You agent should advice you all these things.

Hi ansonbb,

My new maid visa expire on 25Mar and she will leave her employer's home on same day (last working day). Can she apply extension visa to stay in HK to look for new employer ? If I hire her, is she go to Immigration for extension first or to Consultate for notorized ?

ANS: She should extend her visa at the immigration and then process the new contract application.

前日agent話離境紙未出, 仲等緊﹗
暫時已經book左3月31日機票,
4月1日晚我可以去agency pick up個maid!
愚人節......希望佢唔好整古我啦﹗

問佢why要咁遲? 佢話印尼1日得1班機到港, 勞工機位好爆,
暫時book到31號, 但如果ariline唔比上機要delay都唔奇﹗

應該3月尾前一定可以到港!你可能唔信印尼放Easter重長過HK，20/3-24/3都係假期。

我經agent請左個新bun bun, 約5月會到港. yesterday agent 話我知收到佢philippines
既 agent 告知, 個工人有胎至.在塊臉上, 叫我睇下接唔接受, 如唔接受, 就可以選擇另一個. 因之前我地睇係無既. (無人睇到有)

我睇過agent sent比我個 d相, 覺得 d 相唔係佢黎. 明顯廋左好多好多, 但個agent話係佢, 我地好懷疑.

now, 我地都唔知點好, 因為如果選另一個, 時間會耐左.
我有newborn BB 要湊.
你覺得個agent有冇問題or個bun有問題. 會唔會個bun找人頂佢呢.

now 我可以點做. pls help. tks.

要31/3先到就遲左D，應該25/26號可到。記得最少每日一Call追多幾次，唔係佢就你急佢唔急架啦!

如果係定時定侯例如: 每逢星期4都放，就唔駛簽。

但假如你有時一個月放3日不定既平日，一日補錢，又有時又一個月放2日平日，2日補錢，變化多端既話就最好簽收假期。

2. 除咗出番佢應有的糧比佢, 仲要補番一個月和機票便可?
3. 如果我準備晒d文件, 機票和錢, 咁我炒佢果日, 我駛唔駛帶亞仔落街先, 驚佢受唔住打激會發巔, 嚇親亞仔, 咁如果我帶咗亞仔落街, 得番我老公會唔會冇咁好, 駛唔駛叫多個人來做証人呀?

打電話去agent打到我都覺得自己煩﹗
呢個wk問左幾次都仲係話book左31號,
因為連續幾日假期, 聯絡唔到印尼office,
未知出左機票未, 未知離境紙出左未,
要25號先confirm我﹗

Employ a Phil maid - not yet finished contract due to employer was passed away

Hi, Mrs Rose,

URGENT !!!!

I would like to employ a maid which is not yet finished the contract as her employer was passed away. Kindly
urgent help to adv

She has the termination letter and the last working
day is Mar 17, 08. I would bring her to have medical
check up on Mar 25, once her medical report is passed,
I shall go with her to immigration for applying
her as our maid on Mar 28.

(1) Pls adv if the timing is OK for above arrangement
(2) She needs to leave HK within 14 days upon her
last working days. If our case, Does she need
to go back to Philippines first and then come back
again or u can work with us immediately.

Pls urgently help to adv the above and also pls give
us more advice as this is the 1st time we employ a maid.
