2.第一次入境申報晒所有錢就不用扣稅,那麼申報呢?用什麼辦法張資產匯去美國呢?謝謝

1. 如你x'mas入境...要8月再入, 咁你一定要有回美紙, 我唔知兩星期內你有冇可能申請到啦. and,佢係批你一家四口入境, 如有一個冇一齊入(even你女用visa入), 佢實問你好多問題. 我會提議你而家寫信去問可唔可比你女遲d先入, 先奇唔好自己諗幾時入就幾時入, 因入境時,仲要問問題.

1. you need to apply I-131 回美紙, if you leave more than 6 months to pay safe.. sure many people will tell you that you don't need to. But if you want to move to US for good.. better not to creat a big can of worms for yourself

2. for my memories.. you have a card to fill in before you landed, air hostess will ask you that you are tourist, citizen, green card or transit. then you tell them that you are 1st enter to US for migration.
they will give you a card to fill in.
I did the same as Carrie, I did not fill it in, as I have my family in HK, I have my account in hk, we always travel. Plus, the point is.. I am not going to sell my asset in Australia and cancel my HSBC in hk. I still buy shares in hk via internet banking with my HSBC account. if I decare it. I need to pay tax for every single dollar I earn when I sell it.

Other wise, 2nd option:
when is your visa expired?
can you guy land at Chinese new year or Easter Holiday?
then, you don't need to apply for I-131, save the money, as it will be within 6 months for your re-entry.

你個女７月中五畢業，唔知趕唔趕得到報大學，通常第一年當外地生，學費會貴過本土生好多，囡囡要做語言測試，睇下英文程度去到邊，會唔會要入ESL (English as Second Language)班。我以前細佬中五畢業去咗Technical school未讀完第一年嚟到，去City College 要先收英文科。加州有好多大學都好好，好似係Stanford, Berkerly, UCLA, UC Davis....睇下你囡囡想讀咩科同想去度幾遠讀書啦。

如果聖誕land完７月嚟會有少少搏，如果唔攞回美証，過immigration隨時會俾人留難，佢地可以認為你地冇誠意，即時收番你地Green card。我以前８月land, １月再番都俾個官話，話要收我個証，之後要我３個月後番嚟for good，仲寫喺本護照度，咁冇法啦，唯有拿拿臨番香港辭工pack嘢走。你諗清楚搏唔搏得過啦。

一來喺within 6 months.
＝來大女7月再入境係within 6 months

只要你知"要離境over 5個月29日", 一定apply 回美証.. 我唔建議 take risk.

you need to wait until you get your green card, then you can apply for I-131 回美証. and when you apply 回美証 (you can do it online) but you must be in person in US. you can not apply it when you fly back to hk.

you bought the house yet? or you are going to keep them in the storage?
we bought most of our funiture from IKEA.. not that expensive at all. you can go online and check the price..
If all your funiture in hk are brand new.. it may worths.. if not.. why have to waste the money to hire an agency to deliver your used funiture to US??

去了二個星期美國現回來了,但還沒收到綠卡和社會安全號碼便回香港,請問要多少時間才收到呢,

Sure will not be that soon, especially with all those holiday. it really depends which state you are in. We can't tell at all.
theme time will be about 4 weeks to 3months. if you don't receive it by 6 months, you must call USCIS. and make sure your address is correct and have relatives to pick up the letter. Never use a P.O.Box as an address.

1,綠咭收到了(要一個月時間)但社會號碼沒收到,是否親身去申請?
2,請問我會係5個月+29日內再入境，係由入境定離開美國嗰日開始計？(我係12月13號入境,離開美國嗰日12月28日.
