Being a mixed child, it is like a superstar as HK people always say they look very beautiful/handsome/cute. However, it is just a normal child at overseas. FYI, my husband is from India and both my kids are very popular when we were in HK.
For Chinese name, I didnt add it as I want them to decide if they want it or not. To make them understand/remember their root, I use my last name for their middle name. Now when my daughter study Chinese school on weekend, I give her a Chinese name by translate her first name in Chinese and add my last name, so it look just like a normal Chinese name and she will easy notice it is hers. I know many kids dont know their name as they only use their English name in daily life.
