I bought the "Tai Tong" phone card from the chinese shop.. costs about $0.03/minute to call to HK.
connection and transmission are o.k. during the normal day.. but just bit hard to get the line during the peak event
My mom uses Tai Tong card too, but the line was so busy this morning. Right now, our home has Sprint for LD, but we will cut it soon because it charges the connection fee which is so high, even higher than our LD cost!
Happy Chinese New Year!

just wanted to say Kung hei fat choy to you all. I missed toronto a lot since my family lives there and I am here in HK. This year i cant go and visit them cos i am pregnant ....Is it very cold in toronto now ar?
BW's mom
sad to her BW got the diarrhea. my mom used to give the chinese medication to the infant to stop that. Have you heard of "5 po san". I knew you could be able to get that from the chinese herb store. It is the powder and mix with the water for the infant to drink. read the instruction.
my niece/nephew will stop diarrhea after taking twice of such.
I knew most of the doctor here don't recommend any prescription to the kids.. as they think diarrhea wil help to "release" all the virus from intenstile... if so, you just keep letting BW to drink enough fluid - water, juice (but no milk - as it will make it worse).
hope BW will get well soon
I will go to Toronto next month and will stay for 3 weeks, just want to know do I need the car seat for my little girl? she is 3 years old. If so, can I rent a car seat from the car rental company ????
welcome igigi0688. I lived in Markham too.
BW's mom, glad to know your boy is o.k. now. more people joining and we could have chat room activate again.
does anyone know where is Oscar - the only dad in the group. did not see him around for a while. just miss him for the joke and news he posted to the topic
I am new to this group too...I also live in Markham...
awah112,
I also brought my son back to Hong Kong when he was almost 2 months old.....maybe I can share my experience with you....at that time, your baby should sleep most of the time....remember to bring some extra clothes for him (2 sets will be more safe, include underwear), if you are bottlefeeding, u can choose to use the ready to feed formula, a bottle of water, pacifier (for landing & take-off), enough diapers, wet towel, changing pad, car seat (if u plan to bring your stroller with u), blanket, make sure your baby is warm enough (caz it is usually cold during the flight)....and when you book your flight, make sure you ask your agent whether the flight has a bassinet for the baby and reserve for your baby...caz I had chose Air Canada (direct flight), they didn't have any facility for the baby...it's such a bad experience!!...if u have a 揹帶, it's more easy when u go thru the customs & boarding
very excited, taking off tomorrow. just received a good news, i will have full paid holidays for a month. hahaha. initially, i am thinking that i have the 1 week for this year and 1 week of 2004, then two weeks no paid. i called payroll yesterday to confirm, they inform me that i can take my 3 weeks for 2005 and the remaining 1 week of 2004 for this trip.
