mushroom head
i used to go once a week - but to 2 diff supermarket, - one for the "gui lo" type - mainly for diary product, milk, butter, bread etc. the other is for chinese super market, for meat, and chinese veggie.
we used to dine out during the weekend, hot pot, yes, our favourate - even 2 of us will do the hot pot at home, simple and easy.
HK - 10C is much colder than in Toronto, as don't have the central heat...
I ate so much - guess at least put on 5 lbs.
last Friday - family dinner for "dong Chee" (supposed to be on Dec 22, but need working ma, so postponed to Friday)
x'mas eve, turkey dinner at my godchildren's home.
X'mas day -take a rest - eat the left over
boxing day - hot pot. so full, my stomach got "explose"
yesterday - eat the left over again..
the weather is so warm, no white x'mas :-(
I never go for the boxing day sales, is that really cheap. so crowd, don't really bother.
mushroom - this is the 4th x'mas I have in Toronto (came in Dec 9,2002) but never tempt to go for boxing day sales - so many people.
Saw from TV, people are just crazy, line up outside the stores the night before (shop open at 8:00am). definitely diff to find the parking. so we have healthy exercise - play badminton in the morning, then go to my friend's home for hot pot.
supposed to leave early to day but so many work to do before year end closing, might even need to stay late. :-( :-(
:-( I worked till 10:00pm last night but glad it is only once a year (for the year end closing) - so don't let your kid to work on the accounting field. never go home early - never have chance to have holiday in the month end.... :-(
private school - depends on which one, if you go to those that cater most of the overseas student from HK, then make no diff (like studying in HK).. so could not comment on that.
but some of the private school - mainly for "white people" I knew the standard is really good but of course tuition fee is "good" too. If financial is o.k., then of course should try those la.
