I am still in downtown until future notice. The company had schedule my working hours to 12 hour shift 7pm - 7am. I am on my second night. Tomorrow I got to go home and get some new clothes. Maximum ways to wear the same undies - 4 and I am on style # 2 now.
no wonder you said you will have $$$ on your O/T. will overnight shift (like HK) have double/triple pay.... you must miss your bed, dog, and most important - your wife.
how come you need to work shift - I thought everything being settled down now ( but my apartment still have no air-conditioning :(
I guess all of us had a remarkable day. Mine wasn't that bad. It took me 2.5 hours only. We went to bed early that night. We stayed home on Friday because there is no GO train. I let my boss to deal with the mess on Friday. :-P
Oh Oscar, so your office is really close to mine... We are York St.
Well, there I am working in night shift. I went home this morning. Oh, my bed... the smell... I didn't wake up until 4pm and headed back @ 6pm. DVP had an accident just south of Don Mills south exit.
My co-workers think I have the best job in the company. A 12hour shift (my regular pay is 7.5hrs/day) with 4.5hr OT for doing nothing. But I rather go home with my family. Although I must admit those backlog DVD movies I bought in the early days, now I can watch all of them.
Due to government warning, the company bought the insurance to have a senior staff at the office at night. If the lights do goes out, there will be staff able to take care of. Wed - Fri will be the worst days as temp. back to humid.
I brought my bathing suit along so that I can use the hotel facility during the day. The hilton has one of the nicest swimming pool. The pool splits to indoor and outdoor. To access between, you have to dive under.
PoohMa: I am @ University/Adelaide. Are you at the Exchange Tower?
Hi, I am new to this club and I hope you guys can help me.
I live in Markham (Woodbine and 16th), Ontario. A friend of mine is now looking for a babysitter (full time, 1 on 1) in my neighbourhood. Do you guys know of any, or heard of any?
Thanks for your help.
can any mom/dad help - my nephew planning to come over to study. He did not have good result on the A-level, being turned down by the UT and York U already.
any college /school that he could try out? for Grade 12? or pre-University studies? I heard that George Brown do offer dip course which would connected to the second 2 of UT? is that true? any other college like that offer such course?
any website/link I would nevigate the info?
Ontario has follow BC footstep from 5 yrs to 4 yrs in High School. Grade 13 no longer exist starting next school year.
Doggie,
Due to G12 and G13 combine, your nephew will be very difficult to find Post-Secondary education in Ontario this year. He can, however try other province or less famous ontario University like LakeHead in ThunderBay.
Did your friend try placing the ad on local chinese newspaper? You can also post it on the mailboxes around your neighborhood. That will ensure your future babysister is in your neighborhood.
Can anyone recommend a good and reliable agent on automobile insurance for me? My automobile insurance will expire coming Oct, but just receive a letter from the insurance company saying that they no long represent automobile insurance in Ontario anymore. I know that the automobile insurance rate will be much higher this year, hopefully, not too high - I am paying for about $140 monthly only - really very low price when comparing with current market. :-( :-( :-(
my nephew does not have any relative here (except me) and my cousin wants him to be closed to me - i.e. in toronto. so that's why?
his A -level result is no good - only 2 E (I don't even know which subjects he got Es and which got failed). Did tell my cousin to put him back to grade 12? but which school will take grade 12 student???
where can I get the info - should I go to the website for the education broad? he is over age (21 by now) as he spent 2 years serving the army - will school still take him at this age?
any other recommended college that offer University foundation (I guess that's the term) course??
does it means that even thou' he did not have the tofel or any high school result still eligible for mature student?
as I'm afraid his high school result in Singapore not count the same here in Toronto???
for mature student, they usually don't count for A-level just need highschool cert. But for TOFEL, he may need to write it and prove his language skill. And he needs to be out of school for 2 years. Not sure if those 2 years for army can count. Different university has different policy. Ryerson may has losen policy.
But double check first because he is international student.
Another way to get into university is either trying some smaller U like what Oscar suggested, or go to those private colleges, like King's College, Columbia College, MacDonald College. They accept everyone as long as you have money. Then, when your nephew has a better grade here, he has higher chance to get into some better universities.
