all this questions, you don't need to worry about. when you go to see your body check doctor assigned by US government, they will see your immune card and determine which immune booster you need.
You don't need to pay extra money for those which is not necessary.
Are you pregnant now?
You are expected to have a X-ray, urine test, blood test, vision test, hearing test, and physical check up.
get the date that your period is clear which will be better. OK? if you are pregnant, you can obmit all those immunization and X-ray. they will base on your last result from your private family doctor, also, better to have a X-ray with you and a proof that you do not have active TB.
If you were born in hk, at new born and at your 12 yearsold, you had the BCG immunization. that made your skin test (+ve) positive, don't worry because your have the anti-body inside your blood. To have a recent X-ray, will proof everything. If not, you will asked to do a 3 days sputum (culture) test.

for kids, they sure have their immunization card with them. but for you and your husband, you may lost it already.. like me.. when I got into university, my mom dumped my immunization card, she thought that it was an end..
so when I have to do my body check, I have to do a lot of blood test, and go back to my youth doctor whom took care of me when I was young. to get all my reports from her.
If you went to have all your immunization from the government clinic, don't worry, tell the officer about it. you will take a bit longer for the process, as they have to test if you have TB? hepatitis, and all other infection diseases. Blood work, X-ray, Urine test will proof.
they will send you information for body check, don't worry too much.
When they let you know that you need to make appointment for your body check, that's mean, it is close to your interview.
Remember to have all documentations ready!

for the first landing, how long are you going to stay?
are you staying with relatives?
how much investment you have in HK?
are you going to be stay in US for good?

As I came here for good on my first landed. I cancelled all my 香港人壽保險, don't bother to deal with it overseas. I kept my HK HSBC account and credit card, as I know that I will go back for travel.
When I first landed, I lived with relatives, and find an apartment afterward. (renting) and at the same time we looked for house. We eventually moved into our home after another 4 months renting outside, as it is a very difficulty process.
they look for your credit when you buy house or car..
then, when I was renting apartment out there, I started learning driving (I have license, but I am a right handed driver--- from australia).
sure your clothes, not too much, you gonna buy it here, but at least for a month, 2-3 weeks something like that. so if you can't find the laundrymat.. you still have clothes to change.
as you may not get use to the price here when you buy stuff (if you are new in US). the price you saw, not the price you are paying, they will add the tax on it.
The size of clothes is difference to the size to hk.
Search for the chinese groceies store immedicately, to help yourself to reduce anxiety and homesick.

if you have laptop, bring your laptop with you. that will help you stay in touch with us.
Good to stay with relatives at beginning but not to be too long, because you want to keep the good relationship later on. Live independent is the key for a successful start!

For my case, I keep my insurance policies in HK but my family members in HK have to help me out to pay the fee and forward me any mail. If the amount of the policy is not too much and you can get back the principal plus extra, cut the insurance policies would leave you a peace of mind. Of course, you have to buy a new policy in here to give yourself protection and the premium should be higher than the previous one as you are older than before now.

佢岩岩申請入籍(09年4月)...到佢第日成為公民之後...

1) 如果申請我到美國住一段時間...我一定要申請green card嗎? 因為我知如果一申請到green card...我唔可以長時間離開美國...

2) 我老公入籍搵lawyer攪既...個laywer同我老公講...公民既外籍配偶可以申請一個no limited入境既簽證<---呢句我有少少懷疑...us gov邊有咁順灘架~_~" 真係有呢樣野嗎?

希望大家有心人可以解答到我呢d問題~

If your husband is a citizen, sure he can file I-130. I-485 and I-765 for you to stay in US. the way to maintain the status with green card is.. to re-enter US every year.

Green card is just the visa you are talking about, multiple entry with no limitation.
If you accept the offer, you need to enter US within 6 months to activate the Greencard. if you don't care about citizenship, then you can just re-enter US every year. or if you don't want to come at all, you can tell your hubby not to submit the I-130 to save the money, as they increase the fee already.
Want to mention one thing, there is NO SUCH A THING CALL---公民既(外籍)配偶可以申請一個no limited入境既簽證, everyone is equal, so, this statement is not true.

其實我大約6-7年前(未婚)申請travel visa比美國領事館(hk)rejected...一直都無再諗住再waste錢去申請visa去travel...千幾蚊都係錢囉...
如果等老公成為citizen再申請會唔會easy d呢? 不過佢地又會覺得我有移民傾向?

Tell the truth, you will have difficulty to apply for travel visa because your husband is a citizen.
and you sure will migrate to LA in 3-4 years time.

when your husband is a citizen, it only take you 3 years to get your citizenship from the day you have your green card. Once you are a citizen, you may leave U.S. as long as you want and there is no limit, no re-entering U.S. issue to think about. That means, your 移民監 would be short.

1. wait until you received your greencard and SSN.
2. go online and fill out application (you must inside US)
3. you can either choose to wait until you receive the 回美証 or, have your relative to mail it for you.
4. it takes about 4-9 weeks depends on which state you live.
5. if you know that you are going to leave US more than 6 months, a 回美証 application is necessary.
6. I don't know how much is it, as I have never applied it, sorry

Don't worry, sure your husband afraid that you met the bad person online. Same as my husband.
remember at 2005, we started BK family gathering, my Husband looked like a body guard.
Many of the families (husbands) asked me why I will hold a party at my home. Because, I trust the moms here, I am one of them. Because, we live overseas, without family and friends support, we are helpless.
I had gone thru a very bad time.. at 2003 when I was first landed, many BK moms knew it..
They cried for me, they hug me, they gave me moral support, they called my husband and yelled at him, taught him how to protect me from those domestic violence from his family.
So, once I can stand up for myself, as a nurse and a child-care worker, I believe that I have the responsibility to stand up here.. to help the others.
Immigration information comes from the community center which I provide the NORC service (naturally ocurring retirement community) which supported by NYC government, Dept of aging and UJA funding. we have a whole team of immigration staffs to help new immigrants to deal with the immigration issues.
I believe that in general, immigration laws are the same over 50 states. I just got my citizenship at Feb this year.. so memory is quite fresh. we did not hire any body to do it. My husband went online to download all forms and did it by himself.
I came here with K3 visa... the whole progress. we did it.. with no problem. therefore, I can see the whole picture.
Tell your husband, we are here just a support group, if he wants, give him an ID, he can come and view the message. He is an adult, he should determine what is truth and which is not.
by the way, we can say... your husband loves you!

回美証only在 online apply,如果我離開usa 之後, 是否可以找親人在usa apply 都得呢?
