lestat,

I've been to the Mount KK base many years ago, and will go on 19-21, July 08. It has restarurant and trek and museum. Generally it is worthwhile to go with your husband so that you and your kid have more common memories with your husband. But if your husband go to the top that means he will stay one night at the Mount. So you have to stay one night also in KK Mount base, with your kid. That sounds uncomfortable.

When would you / your hubsband start to go up KK Mount?

My itinery:

18/7 STAR (Dragonari am flight)
19-21/7 (unconfirmed) Kinabalu Pine Resort in KK Mount
21/7 (unconfirmed) STAR
22-24/7 (unconfrimed) Sepidan/Mabul
24-26/7 STAR (Dragonair pm flight)

Thanks for you advice! 你去過都再去, 咁應該都幾值得去喎

, 其實我都諗住去行吓, 上唔到頂都想見識吓神山ma, 不過會番出去住出面D酒店, 我10月先去, 仲有大把時間plan, 老公都仲有時間操fit吓, 唔係我驚佢連山腰都上唔到

, 講真真係有點担心老公有高山反應死頂上去, 上次我地去黃龍, 佢都頭痛到嘔.

你去咁多日, 會去埋山打根嗎? 海龜島嗎?

我見呢度好多都揀住STAR, 但我見Magellan都好似唔錯, 又有shuttle bus去city, 點解你地揀STAR呢?

我心大心細唔知揀邊間好.

因為我之前睇過有人去住果間話kids club好細, 酒店既員工好cool, 無笑容! 最近都有bk媽咪去過都係咁講! 而且STAR間kids club又係最大的, 所以選呢間! 雖然STAR無shuttle bus to city, 但係坐的士去都係好平, 所以無咩所謂, 又唔駛限時限候等車, 又要早book手快有手慢無!

Where do your husband book the laba rata dormitory on top of the Mount. KK? My husband tried to book the dormitory but no vacancy.

You can either stay in the Mount. base with your kid, or trek a little bit upward. For me, this year probably my husband and my son (9 yrs old) will go up, leaving me behind in the base, since I am too slow. Last year we went up to 3000m.

We will go after KK Mount to Sipidan, the island for scuba- diving on the other side of Sabah. We just accompany my husband to go there for diving.

I am also interested in 'Shan Da Gan', as I heresay that there are much old Hong Kong legacy there (many hongkongers went there to work century ago). May be next year.

My itinery:

，好開心架．而且聽講佢係2006年裝修過，應該重'正'd tim, 所以我今次都住番佢．

我仲未 book Laban Rata丫, 我呢兩日 send e-mail去當地 travel agentl問緊攻頂的package, 仲未決定join local tour還是自己去, 其實自己去會唔會好麻煩? 另外有些問題想請教一下:

1. 若要上山, 即使唔攻頂, 係咪都係晌 Timpohon Gate上山同埋要有climbing permit? climbing permit須唔須要預早申請?
2. Kinabalu Pine Resort 有冇shuttle bus 或其他transportation 去Timpohon/Kinabalu Park?

If you book a van for few days for your travel, it would not be troubsome for you to go. But if you go to the top you have to book Laban Rata and I think an agency can do it more conveniently.

Last year we are not going to the top and we get a climbig permit on the same day we go up. I went to the top more than ten years ago and so is not sure if you have to get the permit in advance if you go to the top.

Kinabalu Pine Resort won't have regular transit. Last year, as I said, we had book a van for few days and it took us to the Mount from the Resort. But may be the resort can help call a taxi.

係呀, 佢地當時個menu有個hot pot set，所以我地咪試下囉，重有試左佢地既Sunset BBQ buffet都好正架，不過唔知今次去重有無？
