Not very get used to see students on the street in the early morning again. Time flies...
I spent my long weekend eating, eating and eating. My friends from Montreal came and the only activity they had were eating good Chinese food in Toronto... hot pot, Chiu Chau, congee, sweet soup, etc.
i am the one who can't sleep last night - too excited that they start their school the next day - my eyes staring at the roof until 4:30 a.m., then sleep a while and then wake up all the times. i am very sleepy now.
poor ckkwkl, can image how you feel, as I saw my godsons/daughter so excited to sharpen their pens, putting the paper into binder, packing their school bag...etc
should call them in a minutes to see how's their first day in school.
doggie
thanks - however, today worse than yesterday - i was beaten by my younger daughter all night through (when she was sleeping) - i woke up at least 6 times :-(
ckkwkl, you are luckier than me, I've been kick off by my god-daughter out of the bed, while I stayed overnight with her during the power outage.... :-(
M&M
long time no see. thanks for your info, but i don't think i will go this year la. sat - driver for the girls. sun - we will be going to the internation kite festival at miliken park.
Didn't the forecast predict it will rain on Sunday?
doggie,
It's low season and so it will be quite cheap. It also depends what airline are you taking. The cheapest is NorthWest (Toronto->Detriot->Japan->HK) and the most expensive is CX (Toronto->Vancouver->HK). The Korean Airline is quite cheap too (also good service).
thanks for the info, I did call up few chinese agents - they are not really helpful to source for the cheap/promotion ticket for me... and that's why I'm asking.
So far I knew, US is the cheapest one $1350 (Toronto-Chicargo-HK). Just wonder will CX or air canada will do the similar promotion (like in Sept) for $1099 (airticket + 3 night hotel).
so wonder if you have any contact for the travel agent who would keep an eyes on such promotion will be great help.
I plan to stay in HK from end of Oct to mid of Nov. I have to be in HK by Nov 1. Since the unknown situation of my company, I haven't booked the ticket yet. Hopefully I could go to HK la.
I prefer CX too. Clear custom in Vancouver (if you take AC) is too troublesome. CX is better food and service. The flight hour is great. I took CX twice and I could go shopping right away after taking off the plane. My next choice is JL just for dropping by Japan, but it needs two transfer (TO- Chicago-Osaka-HK), (HK - Osaka- SF-TO).
