I also don't know too much. Some people say it is not good for baby's stomach. So, I don't give baby to drink until 3 months' old. But, some people say they give to baby when 1 month's old. Substitute the water for the milk formula. Now, I give bb to drink on every Wednesday, twice a day.
My steps:
1. put all ingredients into a net bag
2. add 4/5 water to a 7" dia small boil (which is normall for making instant noodles)
3. boil 20 - 30 minutes, after boil, around 14 oz water left
4. use a thermos flask to store it for later use
5. Substitute the water for the milk formula
6. sometimes, drink itself (1-2 oz)
7. to check "大大" whether it is normal before give bb next time
