my son, Joshua also has the eczema since birth and his face will turn red + rash + sometimes 'liquid' comes out... quite serious...
in month 1, I brought him to see doctor and the doctor gave him some steroid ... surely he recovered in one or two days time ... but the doctor said can't use always coz it's no good to him and so I stop to use it afterwards...
I find his eczema repeatedly happen from time to time, especially in the change of weather (like these few days... very serious again)... and as my colleague's bb also has this problem, she said there's a medicine called 'Elidel' is good and she said her son was recovered coz using this cream...
For now, I use the aqueous cream which suggested by the nurse in MCH (buy it from the diespensary and not from MCH)
Is the goat milk recommended by your doctor? What's the brand name? My daughter cannot have cow milk, soya bean milk. Now she is having rice milk which is recommended by Dr Chan. But I think that rice milk does not have much nutritional than the others two.
I think all moms not to have worry so much. Before the introduction of Elidel and Protopic, the most powerful medicine to cure Eczema is those ointment with 類固醇. I have been using all these for more than 30 years. Am I healthy? I can say I am definitely healthy, except that I have my skin thinned and darkened. But you have so choice. You want your children to scratch or at least you want them to feel comfortable.
A piece of advice that I would like to give you mom is that don't be too stressed and nervous towards your bb with eczema. When they are only a few months old, they may not feel the pressure. However when they go into the primary school and still have eczema, your baby is indeed suffered much more pressure than you mom do. However as an eczema patient, one of the most thing that affected eczema is pressure. As an adult, you know how to find your way to release the pressure, or to forget the pressure. However as a child, what they would know is that they are unhappy and feel that they are poor. Hence what I would like to say is to give your child a stress free and happy environment. Take notice of them and take care them, and let me grow as a normal person.
Thank you for your information and your further investigation. However, what can I do for my bb using Elidel since only 1 month old. Will Elidel affect my bb's 免疫系統?
