ask your husband to submit paper as soon as possible.
you can not go to do body check without the confirmation letter from immigration.

我又有一個問題,我現在移民局批準了我們去美國expiry date 29/10/09,但我想11月中回港, 想問吓是不要等拿回尾紙 or green card, 才可以離開美國境,因有些事情要在香港2個月‧ 但當我問移民局,他們說其實我可以早上到美國,下午可以走得,因我們在美國海關處以經係land

you can do all those or only part of it as you want, but people will do it all together, as end up you need do it. because you need to change your status, and also, submit the financial support to complete your I-130 application.

Government knows that all new immigrants still have a lot of issue to due with.. so they gave you a visa with 1 year permit just like a greencard. you can enter and leave US as many times as you want. but you must land before the expiry date.
once you land on the first time, submit the package they gave you in person. you don't need to wait for greencard if you know that you will return within the time frame.

Thank you for your reply. But how about in the second year, can I do the same to go out as many as possible, because 移民局講我們可以在5years 內有30 個月留在美國就可以了,但我怕我里解錯.

If you don't plan to apply for the naturalization to be a citizen. it doesn't matter. you don't need to worry about that 30 months restriction.
Sure that.. the immigration officer has the right to take away your green card as Green card suppose to be a ID for those who agrees to stay in US.
But if you planned to apply for the N-400 in 5 years from the day you landed. then that will be another story.

我一直在煩惱移民的問題, 好開心喱度有個噤好架討論區可分享.

我會係十二月中到北卡居住, 好想找一些住在北卡的mami可給我一些意見, 關於在當地租屋架問題, 我上網睇過, move in 個日子會影響租金, 月頭同月中都有差別, 等等... 其次就係保險, 如揸車, 醫療, 人壽保險資料程序同價錢等.

我在08年NOV LAND 左, 逗留2 WEEKS便趕返香港工作. 今年5月23日持GREEN CARD 入境 (未超過6個月~大慨170 幾日),入境時有D TROUBLE, CUSTOMS 問我WHY 逗留O甘短時間....YOU MUST LIVING HERE....問長問短,跟住TAKE ME 去左間大ROOM,等左半粒鐘比返個PASSPORT 同GREEN CARD 我走.
由於我9月尾要返香港多一次,因此我想APPLY 回美証 in order to avoid trouble again. 是否可在INTERNET APPLY 及可否提供一些1資料,WEB SITE, 叧怎樣APPLY?

說實話, officer 已在你的record 上留了message. 你最好每一次離境多於6months 都apply for I-131.

you are very welcome.. this is the forum to help new comer to solve some of their problem before they land, or after they landed.
You don't need to apply for I-131 re entry permit if you only leave US for 3 months. As that is a few hundred bucks.. however, if you don't feel comforatble. you can keep it as it valids for 2 years.
