From my experience, skin test is not practical since it can only test 10 to 12 potential agents but in reality, there are so many potential substances which can cause allergy everyday. So it is similar to 大海撈針.
Oh, please don't get me wrong that I opposite skin test.
I missed an important point that the test is very useful if you could "potentially identify" your allergic triggering factor. It can be used as a "MEDICAL PROOF" for the private doctor since patients usually are "see-to-believe" type of character (including myself).
Another type of approach for allergy is de-sensitization, that is let the patient expose to the known allergen, but with an increasing dosage. So the body defense will build up a kind of toleration to the allergen. Ultimately, the body will be immuned to that particular chemical for life time, can't you believe that !

Four 濕疹特徵:
Firstly is the distribution, e.g it will not be focused on a single part on the body, but rather it will be disperse 分散.
Secondly is infected areas, mainly in folded area. Such as 皺褶 (flexural) areas such as 手肘, 肘內外側,膝頭前後方,腳跟,頸,手腕內外方.
Thirdly is the presentation, usually extremely itch and 紅疹, 嚴重的甚至可以「出水」和出血. But usually there is NO clear margin for the infected area (unlike 真菌感染, such as Hong Kong 腳)
Fourthly, the presentation above is repeated in a cycle. Not just once "itch or 紅疹". You may feel the up and down of the disease.
But remember that there are many skin diseases could have similar presentation but not 濕疹. So please consult your doctor.
