今日終於完晒啦........原來duet 中級,九成都係中學生,抺一額汗鄧阿女....總結成績,今年全取藍cert,中規中矩,出年/出出年又有個紅色目標啦,hehe

gogochurch.........你女彈完未呀?祝elise 有好成績呀

恭喜哂 Elise！其實果日 Elise 除咗 d 錯音之外，成首歌嘅表現都好好，當宣佈完第二第三名之後，我地都估到第一名一定係 Elise 啦！不過阿囝同阿囡有 d 奇怪點解蔡 Sir 用支咁軟嘅 mallet 打 xylophone？阿囡話呢支通常用係 Vibraphone 喎！

恭喜你終於玩哂校際啦！我地仲要挨到 last day 先完！
我地星期六都參加咗 piano duet intermediate，但我地場有好多小學生，差不多一半一半，但老實講，真係細嘅彈得好過大嘅！冠、亞、季一共四個獎，只有一對中學生(孖女)彈得好得亞軍，其他全部都係小學生！

阿女係越級挑戰,佢都無五六級,仲要彈高音,乜都比人睇晒,

我上星期問partner老師,會唔會好失禮,會既話,就唔去啦,費事挑起阿女條根,老師話ok既......最尾我女老師上飛機前再上多堂....hehehe,今日見到,正如你所講,細既彈得好過大既,佢地叫正正常常彈完一首歌,大既甩音又有,唔夾又有,乜都有齊,半場我sms partner老師:真係唔失禮喎.........叫做超額完成,本來佢地預計只係綠色cert,因為囡囡partner話,之前又係呢個評判,四級比賽,全場得一二三名係超過八十分,所以今場都只係預左唔過八十,點知剛好有張藍色,女都好開心,個個問佢咩級,我女都唔識答,佢而家大概都知自己有五級啦,

另外,今日四組有獎,二組都係背譜(全場好似係呢兩組背譜無甩)相信背譜係咪好d呢?其實阿女都唔想揭書,不過可能partner唔夠時間(聽日測驗啦)

My daughter won her first xylophone competition today,

Hi Rachethew,

It's a pity I missed Matthew's performance last time. Ben did not have breakfast before the competition, and the second session seemed to progress so fast. It almost ended when we were back from breakfast.

Many candidates performed very well and therefore the adjudicator awarded many prizes. The difference between first, second and third prize are only one mark.

I have no idea about the mallets - teacher's selection. The mallets sounded very good in practice but Elise sounded soft in the performance because she never practised her dynamic seriously. For the coming competition, she will only collect the mallets from another candidate before the competition - hope there will not be much surprise surprise

How's Rachel's competitions this year ?

Hi Sindy,

Our last event is on Wednesday. I am worrying about the school tests from next Monday as there is no time for revision so far

Our kids all grow up so fast !!

Congratulations to all of your kids here ! Luckily, my girl has come across a very "loose-hand" adjudicator this year and got 90 marks in her solo graded piano(a red cert).

Gogochurch / Rachethew,

My girl has been attending percussion class as one of the school's ECA since Sep 2007. She is now playing the Marimba at school. May I know where can we loan this instrument for home practice ? Also, her teacher is asking who will be interested to take the ABRSM percussion exams, just wonder if you could share how could we prepare, e.g. do we need to buy the snaredrum etc ?? Thanks.

You still remember her name? Wow!!
She had only 1 event in violin, N207 but didn't get a prize. She got pretty high marks and both her teacher & my husband were quite amazed, considered that she was extremely lazy this year in practising. Will give her a whip to speed up her progress.

HI, gogochurch

終於挨到 last day 啦！聽日比賽完就可以安心溫書啦！
Rachel 因為要準備 4月嘅 ATCL，所以今年淨係同 Matthew 彈咗 piano duet intermediate，得第一，另外唱咗一場 vocal 得第三，等埋聽日場 Marimba 就可以收工啦！
Matthew 今年都會考 percussion，阿 sir 叫佢考 7 級，佢話想考 8 級，阿 sir 話要考 8 級就要有心理準備考唔到 distinction，但阿囝都話無所謂，我點講佢都唔聽，仲有唔夠半年，乜都未開始，我今次呢 $1600 都凍過水。

恭喜哂！紅 cert 好難得呀！咁你囡囡名次排第幾呀？
至於 percussion 我屋企有一個 snare drum 同 marimba 俾佢地練習，兩樣都係自己買，無得租喎！因為我兩個小朋友都學 percussion，所以從經濟效益上睇係 OK ！:lol

Hi Ramomo,

When my daughter took the G4 percussion exam, we only had a practising xylophone costing around $1,000 and a practising drum.

Besides buying brand new instrument, there may be 2nd handed instrument on sale. Try the school or internet ?

It's good that you have got 2 kids to share the use of the musical instrument. By the way, do you know approximately how much for a snare drum and marimba ? Are these musical instrument available at Tom Lee or Parsons etc. Thanks.
