Mrs rose,
我工人工作2個半月, 今天她問我借錢.
話說,她頭3個月要俾agent錢. 工人跟我說她電聯通知agent家有事, 今個月的agent費要遲一個月俾, 當時agent"A"答應沒問題但到時要多付$300.但到昨日工人收到agent"B"電話說一定要今天下午3時前入帳, 不理是什麼理由.所以工人才問我借$3000.上述是工人轉述我知.
今天我電聯僱傭公司問,對方說這事因關於金錢問題, 不關他們事.通知另外借貸同事給我電話. 不久,我接到電話, 對方"C"跟我說工人都有告知她有關薪金已匯回家鄉,所以未能還今次費用, 對方"C"說工人都未能提出匯款證據很難相信她. 對方"C"叫我不要借工人$3000.說工人有可能把薪金用作其他用途去了.說她有機會講大話,要教訓一下她, 叫我唔好心軟借錢給她....(但我怕她對我BB不好)
-----請問我應怎辦?????

我想問點幫自已菲傭續約 (her contract ends on 31 Aug)。有什麼Form要填?? When do I need to start processing the 續約 ?

完約前一個月攪，先去入境處取續約文件，內裹有詳細介紹教你點做。Bun Bun通常識惦攪。

借亦可，唔借亦都得，因財務會通融但要收$300息。

Air Ticket

Indo maid is returning to Surabiya during end-October.
Is it the peak season (Indo New Year) and air ticket is most expensive?
Can I ask her to pay for the peak season difference?
Any contrary to employment law?

Garnishee proceeding against employer

Hi MrsRose,

We got a laywer letter saying that our maid has undertaken to assign her monthly salaries to pay for an outstanding loan as a Guarantor. We are asked to response, as an employer, to pay the outstanding sum or otherwise they would proceed with "Garnishee proceeding" against us. What do you think we should response? Any risk to us if we don't react until they really complete the Garnishee proceeding?

Mrs Rose,

本人的菲傭已完成4年合約，但因唔想比長期服務金，而佢又向財務借錢，所以沒有同佢續約，現在已請了新一個菲傭，但佢又唔係好適合我家。

請問如果我再請返舊工人，是否仍然需要比長期服務金呢？

我工人黎做左2個月, e家同我講resign, 禁我叫佢陪1個月$比我, 佢唔想, 佢話1個月通知我, 但我發現佢冇心機做野, 我仲可以點做?

If the maid asks me for a day-off for going to her agent to pay agency fee (that is $348), could the relevent day-off be deducted as a rest day or should it be treated as working day (with pay)?

Dear Mrs. Rose,

My cousin moved to Canada and terminated her Philippino maid prematurly this month and I signed a new contract w/ her maid at the same time. The paper is under prograss in the immigration office now. I chose the type is to let her return to Philippines within the 1st year.

Since my new maid took annual leave in Oct 07 and she doesn't want to go back to Philippines too often for avoiding extra spendings there. Is it okay to let her go to Macau to get a 入境印 within the 1st year? How about China?

Could you pls. give me a suggestion? Many thanks!

Dear Mrs Rose

My maid has been working for us for less than 1 year so far. However, immigration only issued her working visa until December (i.e. upto 17mths) in accordance to her passport expiry date. What will happen if she renews her passport but I don't extend her working visa upto the standard 2years? I am contemplating whether to fire her around that time to tie in before her next quarter levy payment due date. Thx in advance.

你唔使同工人改僱主為你老公,你只要續約時比你兩之結婚證書副本同你老公入息證明副本就得啦, 唔使咁麻煩的!!

Under the Labour Ordinance, employer will bear the full airfare charges no matter what season it is.

My advice is not to be involve or response in any loan matter for the domestic helper. Do not commit anything. Let your maid sort out the loan matter herself.

Why not just ask her to go to the agent during her next off day? I believe the agent won't penalise her for late payment.

She can just exit and re-enter to Hong Kong on the same day. Going to China need to apply and pay for visa. No visa is required for Macau but have to consider the ferry cost.
