唔好意思，請問send印印封resign letter去入境處嘅原因係咩？幾時要send去？
我見我個印印俾我嗰封resign letter係影印本，但就有個入境處嘅蓋印，咁即係表示佢自行inform咗入境處？inform咗又係咪表示封resign letter已經成立？一定要依信件內容執行？
因為佢用印尼文寫離職原因，我哋完全唔知道內容；信內亦無欄位俾僱主簽名確認；再加上佢連僱主名都寫錯(完全唔同串法譯音)，所以我唔接受，要佢改正返僱主名先好俾我。(但我發現佢用白油塗喺封影印本嘅resign letter度改咗住僱主名，不過就無再俾返封信我，只係放喺佢自己度)。所以我擔心因為佢封信已有入境處蓋印，無論佢改唔改返啱，又或者有無僱主簽名，封信都已經生效？！

I hate them to borrow money or help other to borrow money.
I agree with you to terminate your maid immediately because she is not allowed to borrow money.
But I think you now start to find a new maid and also to find any relatives to help you at the first month to care the BB with you together.

一來, 可以問佢可否安排boarding house 比工人住, 吾洗工人一個在家.
二來, 等 agent 提醒下個工人, 等佢吾好亂來(如果工人整段時間在家, 不去boarding house)

Could you help me?
I will take 5 days vacation at the end of Aug., how could I arrange as the following choice, which one can I choose? Or any suggestion for me.

1. Is it illegal of living in boarding house if it is requested by my maid?
2. My maid being employed only 6 months. It is too far away in advance giving annual leave to her. Can I give her free air-ticket to home and deduct her salary during our vacation?

同意通知Agent, 印印Agent通常有集中營,但賓賓便興一班人夾錢租一單位,Agent 無住處提供,賓賓大把friends.

:lol 咁短時間便放虎歸山,小心佢搭完飛機,遊完香港,唔返來打你份工,一個月後簽別個老闆.
放數天外遊,通知Agent,等佢同工人安排,比錢都through Agent 經手,以防工人不認數,話你無比住宿和飯錢佢.
我請了十多年工人,又在bk看得多,王國真是好地方,道出千奇百怪的花招,你想不到的,工人都能駛得出.

You are only responsible for the ticket to her place of origin as stated in the Employment Contract. You can choose to buy her the ticket or pay her in cash equivalent to the airfare to her place of origin.

All newly arrival domestic helper will get homesick. But they will be fine after working for a month or so. If you still want to keep her, you can tell to go for a day off and go to church or talk to some friends. Normally after talking to their fellow friends they will feel better.

If she still insist, you can tell her that she can resign by giving you one month notice or pay you one month of her salary then she can leave immediately. If she don't have money to pay, tell her that she will have to work for that one month notice before she can go. Maybe after that one month she will overcome her homesickness already.

You can also turn to your agent for help to talk to her.

Different Agent have their own pricing charges. Most importantly is to make sure they have the proper license and accreditation with the Consulate.

If you are doing direct hire, normally the agent will only be responsible for the processing work only. If the domestic helper doesn't perform as to your expectation, the agent will not give any free replacement. The market charges for direct hire as per what you already found out (HKD3k to 7k).

Processing time for direct hire is not much different from the normal selection of maid through agencies. Around 2 months for standard processing time. It also depends on whether your maid's sister have all the necessary documents and certificate ready for processing or not.

You need the following:
1) Her resignation letter in her hand writting. State the date, her name, HKID number, reason and when is her last day of work.

2) On her last day, she will sign the receipt of what she had collected from you being: Her last salary, Annual Leave in Lieu by cash, Food and Travelling allowance from HK to (Place or Origin) and Air Ticket.

3) On her last day, Letter to the Immigration to inform cancellation of the work visa and contract.

The rest will depends on HK Immigration approval. The procedure is like this. The maid will go to HK Immigration to apply change of employer. If the officer accept her explaination, she will immediately be given another date for a higher office interview (around 2 weeks later), at the second interview if the higher office approve her change of employer, she will be given an approval letter and your agent will then process with the Consulate and then to the Immigration for the visa.

It could be various reason. For example if the maid had used another name or her new details is different from the record in the HK Immigration, it will caused alot of troble to process. There are no alternatives but to make sure the applicant have prove or can be very very certain about her past details.

You can process it yourself (Direct Hire) if you are not afraid of running about doing the work and ensuring you and the applicant have all the right documents. You have to check with Philippines Consulate first to see if they approve you to do the direct hire instead of through agencies.

Agent charges various in the market from HKD3k to HKD7k depending on their service package.

Yes. So for 7 months she is entitled to 4 days.

2) Her home place is 'Batac Ilocos Norte', so I need to buy ticket to her final destination ? but actully where is it ?

Yes, employer are to take care of the travel to her place of origin. There are flights from Hong Kong directly to Laoag. Ilocos Norte is a province of Laoag. Laoag is at the most north of Philippines. You should ask her what is the destination of ticket to buy for her or you can check with your agent on the arrangement.

ANS: You can put her in boarding provided you pay for the accomodation and the food allowances.

2. My maid being employed only 6 months. It is too far away in advance giving annual leave to her. Can I give her free air-ticket to home and deduct her salary during our vacation?

ANS: After 3 months of employment the maid is entitled to annual leave (pro-rata) and paid labour holiday. You can give her free ticket to go home but cannot deduct her salary because it is not her choice that you are going on vacation without bringing her along.
