Yes, re piano learning, what age? what price? private tutor or piano learning centre? OK :mrgreen: I am a bit regret to let yuetmui start at 3.5 which now I consider is too young to start. So, I delay my son's starting age. But because of his strong sense of music & memory, I let him try now (i.e. at 4.5) & stop his course in Tom Lxx. yuetmama 寫道:

First of all, I am not piano expert lai gar, just share my observation & experience from others.
Age: difficult to say, some say 4 or 5, or even 6...much depends on the character/talent/enthusiasm of the kid...but you can try starting at learning music course (I mean those pure music course with NO piano teaching), then piano.
Personally I think there is no rush to learn piano, except you have other targets e.g. gaining cert. for knocking door of primary school or for applying secondary school
Private tutor/piano company/group learning: many points to consider:
- quality of teacher
- experience, especially in teaching kids
- price (vary much, 0.5 hr per lesson may cost you $100 to $250)
- group learning may consider in early stage to see if your kid is interested in music/piano but can't last long
- piano company -> the teacher may change, you may ask winwin for her teacher, seems very good gar :mrgreen:

I think most people like to go on Wednesday ma, as FREE gar 星期六上午 >> I think should be fine gei, much better than Sat afternoon or Sunday :lol: I have my core leave for these 2 weeks ar, really happy but sure tired c ar!
