I just back from Sing on Monday. Here are some updates:
1. the Zoo didn't have the discount for showing the MAP. Only the SIA boarding pass got discount
2. I tried 無招牌海鮮 in both vivo city and Geylang; their menus are different and of course, the prices are different too. Vivo city seems more expensive (1kg crab in vivo city is S60 while in geylang is S50). Besides, vivo city is having a 10% service charge while Geylang doesn't have that. The environment in vivo city is much better than Geylang. The taste seems not much different
3. Agree with what the above mentioned, HKG is even hotter than Sing
4. The weather could be quite bad as last Sat, it rained for many hours. So, for those planning to have the water activities, you need to be aware of that. As this may affect your planning.
I bought the ticket online as I worried that it will be sold out. I had been in USS on 13 Jul (Friday). I didn't see that it's sold out that day. Only the fast pass sold out very early. I heard from the other mama that the ticket office said that nowaday, very rare have ticket sold out. If you are travelling on SIA or CX, you will have 10% discount when you buy the ticket on that day. Besides, it seems that there is a promotion to buy the package in the USS officila website now for S60. So, you may try to buy online but the valid day for the ticket is only valid for that day you selected.
Btw, on the day I visited USS, there are not too many ppl like disneyland in HK. Many games only needs to wait for 10mins some even no need to wait.
Just back from Singopore for 4D3N (6 ppl, 4 adults and 2 kids)
Day 1
8:55 - 12:30: Flight to Singapore by CX
13:30: Arrival at Swissotel the Stamford hotel - Take the airport shuttle (S$9 per adult, S$6 per child)
14:30: Lunch
16:30: Suntec City (shopping and book Duck Tour (very full)) - 15 minutes' walk through Citylink (an air-conditioned subway from Raffles City to Suntech City, with shops around)
17:30: Garden by the Bay
19:30: Dinner at Food Republic at Suntec City
Swissotel the Stamford hotel is above City Hall MRT, very convenient.
Day 2
Full day at USS, dinner at Malaysian Street outside USS (Swissotel has free shuttle to USS every half hour) + Vivo City - We buy tickets at 10% discount using CX boarding pass, only queue for about 20 minutes, but with children, suggest to buy fast pass to ensure that you can play every game within one day. Transformer is really good. 4D movie is nice.
Day 3
9:30 - 12:30: Duck Tour + Singapore Flyer (many nice photos are taken)
12:30 - 4:00: Cable Car + Luge
5:30 - 6:30: Travel to Night Safari (we take MRT to Ang Mo Kiu and change a bus #138)
7:00 - 10:00 Night Safari (but the show is cancelled since it rains)
10:00 - 11:00 Back to Hotel (we take a taxi to Woodlands MRT and take MRT back to hotel) - most singapore people will take this way to and from zoo
Day 4
10:00 - 12:00: China Town (金福源豬肉乾 + 華安藥油) - referred by Singapore friends
12:00: Check out
12:00 - 1:30: Lunch at Raffles City
1:30 - 1:50: To Airport by Maxicab (a taxi which can take 7 passengers) - S$50
1:50 - 2:05: Check-in (recommend you online check-in before to get good seats)
2:05 - 2:40: Take skytrain to Terminal 3 to eat 亞坤 (same price as outside)
2:40 - 2:45: Take skytrain back to Terminal 1 to enter immigration
2:45 - 3:15: Take skytrain to Terminal 2 to buy 班蘭蛋糕 (tax free)
3:15 - 3:20: Take skytrain back to Terminal 1
4:05 - 8:00: Flight back to HK
(suggest you to reserve more time at the airport as there are many facilities / games for children to play, and shops are located in different terminals).
Except for the night for Night Safari, the weather during these 4 days are not hot. Tired but relax.

I want to know more about the shuttle bus from airport to the hotel? Should I just go to the shuttle bus counter after arrival? where is the counter? Can I get the same bus from hotel to airport?
I also want to know the free shuttle from hotel to USS? where is the stop? Should I need to make an advanced booking? Again, can I get the same bus from USS to the hotel?

I am taking Singapore Airline to Singapore next week with my family (4 of us). 48 hours ahead I can login to Singapore Airline to choose seat, right? Each of us has a different eTicket number (starts with 618...).
So, does it mean I have to login 4 times with all different eTicket numbers? Or I just login with my eTicket number can get choose 4 seats?
It is my first time to take Singapore Airline. Thanks for your advice.
(1) For taking taxi from airport to Hard Rock Sentosa, do we have to pay extra for the luggage (I mean those put at the back of the taxi)?
(2) I am also taking Singapore Airline. 2 days before the trip, I can online check-in, right? That means I can choose the seat? 4 of us have got 4 different eTicket numbers, so do we have to logon 4 times to choose the seat? Or just logon with 1 of the eTicket number and can get select 4 seats?
