maybe it's HSBC brokerage who help their customers to sell on behalf. not really HSBC.

sold cut loss on #5 at 40.95. lost 50%, but hubby said may drop to $20. am a bit relieved now selling this neverending dropping stock.

here is his explanation:
Meridith Whitney said Credit problem is spreading out in US. HSBC did not cut that operation means it might look poor. Sell HSBC on rally when good news is there (Citi reported profit for first two months this yr). If HSBC needs a second round of rights offering, nobody will support it and it will fall to below HK$20

$81.x 2 lots, lost $32-33k lor. i m not unhappy ah, feel relieved tim. can buy back when it drops to $3x ga ma. many BK members hold a lot of #5, too hurt to cut lose so I guess they still hold it. 33k is nothing to them because I guess some lost nx more.

你終於引刀一切,切左隻愛股, 上星期我亦沽左2手@45.13, 買入時@77.9,lost27k,好在今個月暫時賺到8k,減低lost既錢,所以呢個月要努力搵返, 傷痛過後忘記佢, 由頭開始過~

I also heard that from my friend.. Most of my friend who work in HSBC had sold their stock #5 even loss alot..
