Fusidan Cream

My baby has Atopic Eczema 異位性濕疹
Today, the doctor treated my baby and gave us:
1) Fusidan Cream
2) Priton Syrup (diluted) (口服)
3) Aqueous Cream

Do you know what is Fusidan Cream? Is it the same as 類固醇?
I searched in google and found that its ingredients are Fusidic and Hydrocortisone. (http://www.psdh.gov.hk/eps/productDetailAction.do?id=86625)

My baby has never used 類固醇 before yet as I heard it has bad side effect.... Is Fusidan cream better and not so harmful to skin?

Fusidic acid ==> 消淡, 唔係抗生素
Hydrocortisone ==> 類固醇, 温和, 可用於面上.

期實又唔洗咁驚, 只要用得正確是很安全的. 如果唔係惡化後要用更強咪重死.

我的囡囡由一個月開始已有濕疹,現在兩歲了,但仍未好,

她一歲前是飲人奶的,一歲後就飲奶粉,我現在諗緊幫唔幫佢轉豆奶

奶粉,會好d嗎?其實她一個月前已戒食蛋,牛,魚,情況是有好轉的,

但仍然有及反覆,時好時壞,我應該點好呢?

請指教

我完全支持珀珀, 慧慧媽的說法, 單靠藥力而肓目地買藥膏給bb搽, 根本唔知內裡成份是什麼, 這是 “無知”, 我們一班有濕疹bb的媽媽, 都知含類固醇藥物是不好的, 但適當使用, 才是有智慧, 這才可使bb 得著適當的治療, 不致陷入嚴重情況.

話說有次我差點兒中招, 我老爺從國內買了支皮膚膏, 佢自已搽過, 話好有效而且好快痊癒, 所以, 買了一支給我16個月大的囡囡, 千叮萬囑記得要幫亞囡搽呢隻膏. 單從表面來看, 成份全以中文釋音, 根本不知是什麼?? 後來, 回到家中, 細看翻查盒內的說明書及用途, 才知這隻藥膏嬰兒避免使用, 就算兒童必須在成人監護下使用. 說明書內亦提及不良反應及使用時間. 間藥廠好有責任講明使用本品前請向醫師或藥師咨詢. 好彩被我找發現有英文名 (Dexamethasone), 這隻藥膏所含的類固醇成份比較高, 所以, 一般小孩不宜用.

我對類固醇認識不多, 而且類固醇有很多名稱, 眼花撩亂, 點知咩名是類固醇?? 我最記得電視有個健康節目中提及有關類固醇, 你如何分別藥物的成份有無含類固醇?? 最簡單的方法是凡含類固醇的藥, 它的英文名最後有 one尾, 這是最容易辨別出來.

老爺果支叫 “復方醋酸地塞米松乳膏” , 單從果名你都唔知佢係咩東東???

真係有感而發, 我見有mami話在中國找到有隻濕疹肓很好, 全中藥冇類固醇, 搽2-3日巳近全好, 所以和其他人share. 但我覺得可能有問題所以說出來. 但反應都幾大, 她說只要搽得好就得啦, 最多之後唔用.

Hydrocortisone is still steroid (類固醇). if u apply it on a young kid very often and for long period of time, it'll make the skin thinner and wrinkles might come up. it exactly happened on my kid's hands, so i've stopped using steroid cream on him for a few months now.
so, i would try to avoid it on the face if possible; if the eczema on the face is really bad, i wouldn't give the younger kid any Hydrocortsone strength of more than 1%.

“復方醋酸地塞米松乳膏” sounds like kind of steroid cream to me, as the translated word "松" sounds like "-sone" as the ending sound of most steroid cream.

唉, 我亞b塊面濕疹比較嚴重, 我都唔想搽咁多類固醇, 但係唔搽就越o黎越嚴重, 佢又好痕, 所以唯有搽啦...我都想知有乜方法唔使搽類固醇又可以減退o的紅...

have u tried the David's cream from Australia?
it seems help more or less.

唉, 我都想係間唔中用, 不過我試過搽o左幾日類固醇, 見好少少就停, 跟住又出現過, 咁又要再搽, 就係咁o既cycle下過o左幾個月到而家...之前試過嚴重o的, 醫生仲會開勁少少o既藥膏畀我...唔知係咪因為咁, 而家好似皮膚薄o左, 見到o的微絲血管

我其實都有諗過試David cream, 不過我見有兩隻款, 有lavender同另一隻, 我唔知應該揀邊隻?

my kid's been using steriod cream (mostly 1% Hydrocortisone) since he's a few months old til about 4 1/2 (we've completely stopped applying steriod on him about a few months back as there're wrinkles on his hands).

it should be ok if using it just for months.

for David's cream, i ordered the one without lavender, coz i'm not sure if my kid'll be allergic to lavender or not.

it might take at least a week for u to see the improvement as it's non-steriod so it won't act fast. it's slightly medicated (anti-septic) so i only use it when there're rashes on his hands/feet.

i have never apply david's cream on my kid's face as his rashes are mostly on his hands, feet and behind the knees only.
but david's cream is "supposed" to be ok to put on the face. and there's no steriod in it.

會唔會覺得"立"呢? i'm not sure about the weather in HK now, so i can't answer. u'll have to try it out yourself. i guess it might not be appropriate during summer time as u sweat a lot.

didn't realize there's such thing as PEA in david's cream.
and Physio AI cream is different.
