Hi Nillie, elmolly, 3 cats,
I haven't been here for a while because of being so tired. Once I have time, I rather sleep. My Amanda makes me so busy and tired. Her eating habit is changing, sometimes 8 times a day, sometimes 7 and sometimes 6 but mostly 7 times. Now, she's 3 weeks old. We have a problem every night between 8-11pm. Once the feeding falls between these hours, she will keep eating for 2-3 hours. At the beginining, I breast-fed her and need to supplement her with bottle. No more than 1 hour, she woke up and wanted to be fed again (usually she took 1 time each breast then fell sleep). After a few nights like that, I tried to bottle-fed with breast-milk. The same thing repeated. Yesterday night, my husband fed her with formula, 2-1/2 oz first, then she wanted another 1-1/2 oz. She poo 2 times in between (total feeding 2 hours). Then, she fell sleep and then woke up no more 1 hour later. She took another 1/2 oz and then poo again. Half an hour later, she woke up and drank 1/2 oz then slept for another 3 hours for another feeding. It has been at least 1 week like that and I don't understand why. I have breast milk for her. When I'm engored and then I pump, I can get up to 2.5 oz. Even though I fed her and pump afterwards, I still can get 1 oz.
She always eats and poo at the same time. Usually, she cries so loud and even feeding cannot calm her down when she needs to poo. Once she poo, she calms down and starts eating. My hubby said that it may be my diet. But, I usually eat rice, meat and vegetables with some ginger vinegar everyday. I have around 5-6 meals a day. At night time, I will eat a 2/3 bowl of rice with some meat and veggies after each feeding (I feel hungry almost every time). For ginger vinegar, I eat an egg, some pig's limbs and maybe 1/2 bowl of vinegar. In the earlier time, I have some chicken wine but I stopped drinking the wine when I started to have rashes on my legs and my lower back, also Amanda has some pimples on her face. So, I stopped it already, sometimes, just eat the chicken, wooden ears and gold needles.
From Thursday night onwards, I bottle fed Amanda at night time and skin to skin at daytime. At night-time, I pumped after feeding Amanda or when I woke up feeling engored. Amanda is a demanding girl, she won't give up crying if she still wants some more milk. It really makes me and my hubby tired. Especially, Spencer woke up every early morning and cried because he has very bad rashes which makes him itchy. We took him to a new pedi and he said that Spencer might have an allergy on certain kinds of food. We are now testing and change his milk to organic type and also washes his clothes with mild detergent with no fabric softener. 2 crying babies make us crazy - even my hubby said that he will never be a full-time mom if he needs to deal with it all day. :-( :-(
