re : $$ after using maid
yes, sometimes she doesn't know how to save $$. So when she was on duty. I let her know
- need to save water, electricity, gas
- kitchen papers, toilet papers : when finished, inform me, & check which brand is cheaper (but she forgot, need to remind her again).
although that's limited $$, but "small amount can become hugh". I'll indirect remind her to save $$, for example : buy soft drinks
1st time, she buy it very expensive, then 2nd time,
I asked her to buy Grape soft drinks again, I said better to check where is cheaper (usually only two shops - Parkxx & welcxxx), better to buy the cheaper one, if she is smart, she can realise that only $2-4 dollars, I also consider!!!
Like gas, water, elec... when I rec'd the bills, I'll "DISCUSS" with my hubby (we seat in the living room, & she is in kitchen)...
H : how come the gas bill is expensive?
R : oh... really? let me see.... ng...maybe we stayed home to dinner every nights...
No need to say extra la... she should understand!!!!

re : your new maid
yes, remember when she is report duty, let her know your requirement (give her papers) & let her know : now I give you the papers, please read carefully, in future I'll add some new rules....I don't want to set so many targets for you to do everyday, I want you to plan/to do indenpendent. If one day I found you can't reach my requirement, I'll let you know & set the ..... for you.... etc.
