Dr. Yonex,

請問水豆針、肺鏈針同流感針可唔可以一齊打?如果唔可以最好隔幾耐?
3支針係咁打左即刻effective?

Dr. Yonex,

My doctor suggested the following schedule for taking 肺鏈針, 1 year old MMR 針 and 水豆針:
1) take 肺鏈針 few days before 1 year old MMR 針, and then take 水豆針 one month later.
2) take 肺鏈針 few days before 1 year old MMR 針 + 水豆針.

Question: Is it okay? If yes, which of the above is better?

It would be better to have these vac. 1 month apart one another.
It takes at least 2 weeks to take effect.

bb7個月大經常嘔奶

To: Dr. Yonex,

我bb已7個月大, 正在出牙, 食量亦大了, 0-5個月食4oz (一向食得少), 現在食到6-7oz, 但近這個月總是很容易嘔, 一日五餐會有一至兩餐嘔!

他喉嚨好敏感, 食食下奶會咳, 或者突然”瀆”親就嘔, 嘔的時候是從口和鼻噴出來的. 他每一餐都要花半個鐘以上, 所以他食得一點也不急! 我已經每2-3oz掃一次風. 這星期有兩次食完奶睡一小時醒來給他渴水, 但一吞下即”瀆”親,又嘔!

如果食糊仔/粥仔要整到好似奶昔這樣稀才吞到, 杰一些就會咳, 再餵就會嘔! 半固體食物是4個月開始已經食, 之前也不是食得那麼差!

奇怪是即使那一餐嘔過, 等15mins 再餵, 他亦可以食到6-7oz奶! 亦不會再嘔第二次!

除了嘔吐他以往隔一日才有大便, 但現在日日有, 以往是綠色牙膏狀, 現在是啡黃較稀, 晚上亦睡不穩, 以往一般都會醒3-4次, 但現在總是哭醒, 還要很悽涼那種. 但白天又玩得,又沒發燒等其他徵狀!

1) 究竟我bb有甚麼問題? 或是有病? 有需要看醫生嗎?
2) 如果不是病, 他這種情況會一路長大便會有所改善的嗎?

聽落唔似病, 但是喉嚨敏感. 的確令人頭痛! 可以試吓比佢食4日 Motilium 2.5 ml 3 times daily.

have just seen doc, but he didn't say anything if it's infection or not. anyway, he gave me eye drops Neosporin, 1 drop 3 times.
is it ok?

Neosporin contains antibiotics for bacterial infection. Remember to swab crean the eyelid(s) with distilled water / cooled boiled-water before using the eye drops

想問下以下兩種'傷風, 鼻室'藥有何分別? 有無'類固醇' ? 效用又有咩分別呢 ?

Ans.:
1) Chlorpheniramine= Piriton 係最舊但是常用的Anti-Histamine.
2) Cetrizide = Zyrtec, is newer Anti-Histamine and less sleepy

No Steroid in these two. 消炎藥係個取巧的名..., 好多藥都可以消炎, 抱括 Steroid ! 抗生素沒有Steroid.

Dear Dr Yonex,

Sorry for bother you. Would you mind to assist me to resolve the following queries:-

My son just got an 2nd injection of 肺炎鏈球菌針 on 1/7/07 and then only start to have fever on 19/7/07 with minor cough. However, after consultation on 19/7 p.m., his doctor gave the following medicine:

AMOXYCILLIN SYR @2.5ML
MEFENAMIL ACID SYR @2.5ML
PADADOL SUSP @2.5ML
DM SYRUP (DEXTROMETHORPHAN) @2.5ML

Is it too heavy for a 22-mth child? Please kindly advise. If so, what can I do? Should I change to another doctor as my son still has fever today, i.e. around 38.3 degree.

Remark: As my son is sensitive to AMOXYCILLIN SYR (i.e. 肚瀉）, I only gave him PADADOL SUSP upon to now.

Ans.: I think is appropriate for his age and if his weight > 25 pounds.
Please kindly advise. If so, whatcan I do? Should I change to another doctor as my son still has fevertoday, i.e. around 38.3 degree.
Remark: As my son is sensitive to AMOXYCILLIN SYR (i.e. 肚瀉）, I only gave him PADADOL SUSP upon to now.
Ans.: Sometimes antibiotics, like Amoxil, will cause diarrhea. I guess U have not give him the Amoxycillin(Amoxil) and that may be why the fever is still lingering on... I would suggest U bring him back to the Dr. and discuss with him for another type of antibiotics. Communication is the key to success and cure!

我想問下濕疹會否生係手掌架? 女女隻手很itchy, e 生說是濕疹, 有小水泡的. 沒有開藥膏給他, 請問有咩俾佢搽好呢

Dear Dr,
bb上次第7 day 冇大便, 我依你方法一直take Metamucil(orange flavour) one spoonful dissolve in water, take orally 3 times a day. (通常飲2 spoon)
亦有用油pump兩天(但只是1 time daily). 兩日都有硬poopoo, 1st time比較辛苦, 2nd time is easier. 我本來想跟你方法試4-6天, 但爸爸唔忍心, 想bb自己試吓, 停了兩天, of course又冇poopoo. today 我會用油pump again. 1)想問是否應follow 你的方法會更奏效呢? 2)因爸爸唔明白why bb need to use oil pump for so many days. and also 3)is it important to use it twice daily. i hope i can get information to persuade my husband. thanks so much!!!
