My program didn't require a thesis. The title for my final term paper: "The Effects of Music Programming in Mainstreamed Classrooms on Social Interactions and Acceptance Between Severely Disabled Preschool Children and Nondisabled Preschool Children". I also did a research with my professor which got published early this year in one of the music therapy journals and the title is "Movement, Singing, and Instrument Playing Strategies for a Child with Myotonic Dystrophy". My major interest is using music therapy to help young children with special needs.

As long as the stress in your husband's life doesn't affect his normal work, health, social and family life, he doesn't need to see a psychologist. A certain amount of stress in life is normal and often good. If you really think he needs professional help, maybe you can try to talk to a local social worker about his situation and ask for advice.

Have you thought about joining a band again? for fun? You know, nowadays so many people just form their own band and record music and upload it online to share with the public.
I'm sure your daughter inherit your singing talent! How old is she now?

Have you thought about using sign language to help Astha express her feelings? She may feel less frustrated if she has a way to express her thoughts and feelings. I once taught a little girl with special needs (around age 3) who used sign language (because the preschool teacher used it with the students all the time). She couldn't speak at that time, but when I asked her "how are you?", she could sign "fine" to me. Sometimes she didn't even take verbal cues, for example when I asked her to stand/sit, but if I did the sign "stand/sit", she followed the sign direction. I know signing is not popular in hk, it's not necessary to use formal signs, you can just create your own signs with her. It will also be your secret language with Astha

我生astha時32yrs old,當時醫生話未算高齡,話不需要驗羊水,驗血就屬於低危,所以生左出嚟先知架.
今次第2胎,我係week 11已經做左絨毛檢驗,thanks god今之bb的染色體ok.

之前係早期上training有學過專為down's而用的手語,其實簡單的我地都仍然有用緊,不過現在的st就不主張而且沒有教,我地唯有跟住本hand book 教一些簡單既比astha

但有時我都怕,如果佢一直祗用手語會影響正常的說話能力,在家可以跟我們運用,但在外始終要用言語來跟別人溝通囉 :-|

咁夜仲未瞓呀?
如果你們用手語時都同時用言語來跟她溝通, 手語應不會影響學習說話能力. 運用手語只是過度期, 當然最終要用言語來跟別人溝通. 不要太擔心, astha有好多人幫助有好多人支持! 你有沒有開始跟astha談及你肚裹面的bb?

醫生有懷疑yuuki係出麻疹
亦有話好似中耳炎呀尿道炎果d都會有高燒同埋嘔
因為佢鼻水好勁同有少少咳
所以亦有可能係上呼吸道感染咁
而家抽左血同鼻水驗

but主疹果個醫生打來就話覺得無咩特別病徵咁
但出院都一定要佢退燒先得
今朝同佢探過一次就37.5
希望一陣唔食退燒水都無燒啦~~~
咁就出院有望啦~

而家我返左工
叫左婆婆去睇住佢~

Kiely is now 27 months old. Setting up a band? Where do I have time? Plus HK is not a live music friendly place. So many live band in HK is 賓賓 & also need a lot of connections.

我尋日先至同astha提過我肚裡內有bb,咁佢就用手摸下摸下,跟住就想拉起我件衫想搵bb,如果係街既話,真係多得佢吾少 :tongue:

我之前BF到成兩歲,出街去到佢眼瞓時成日拉起我件衫搵奶奶仲大單!! 好彩而家亞女只係間唔中係瞓覺至attack 我....

I am actually a drummer in a band when I was in university. We have several public performances too!!!! However, now I have no time due to work + baby. But, sometimes, I still dreamt of playing the drums!!!

My little Alexandra is also starting to act this way. I went back to feed her during lunchtime and if she saw me going out of the door, she start crying. Also, if after I returned home and ignored her, she will also cry!!!! Only 5 months already like that.......
