Nillie,
My breastfeeding is getting better. My nipple has been healed now. Even though sometimes it's still a bit sore, I can manage to change the position or the latching to resolve the problem. In fact, the nipples are very sensitive now, they hurt when I accidentially rub them with the bathing towel. The feeding pattern of Amanda is not stable yet. First of all, I believe what you say that she's growing. So, I would feed her until she's full - bf + bottle if necessary (usually at mid-night or during holiday when my hubby helps at night time). She sort of wakes up every 2.5 hours to 4 hours, average 7-8 meals per day.
The big problem that we are facing is that she's so gassy. She likes to drink very fast (sometimes, she chokes because the let down is so much and so fast). I need to burp her all the time and also I need quite a bit of time for her to be burped out. When she needs to be burped or she wants to poo out, she cries so loud and so crazy that she can wake up Spencer. Also, she seems not good at drinking from a bottle yet. I guess that she's still young and she seems to prefer the breast more. I don't want to be too mean to her but sometimes, I do lose my temper. Luckily, my hubby becomes more considerate now after I told him all the facts and my feeling. He's more willing to give me a hand at night time. Before that, he keeps blaming me on my diet to make Amanda so gassy (I dare to eat beans or broccoli, only eat chicken, pork and choy sum, pat choy). He seemed have forgotten those days we took care of Spencer. Now, he accepts that Amanda really cries so loud that she can draw everybody crazy.
