...I think this is the difficulty ~ my hubby doesn't speak any Chinese and my Spanish is not good enough so we speak English all the time. We tried to speak as much mother tongues to him as possible but end up slipping back into English without realising it...The baby will pick up English easily from hearing us, so...not sure how much Spanish and Chinese he can pick up. He will perhaps end up knowing some vocabs only...unless he has a real talent for languages.

I cant believe that came out from the kids who are in Canada! They should well aware that kids brought up here dont always speak Chinese and that's the reason parent sent them to learn. I also dont believe why kids prejudice about who should learn Chinese! In her kindergarten or daycare, I never heard any such racist comments regardless they are all different nationalities.

For my daughter, no matter how I tell her she is mixed, she still believe she is Chinese only. I think it is because daddy doesnt really has Indian heritage except his look. He doesnt speak any Indian language and he doesnt like to mix with Indian anyway. Eventhough I ask him to teach her some Indian stuff, he doesnt has anything to teach!
