Yes ar, the slugs just gathered all up after the rain! I hate them so much!!!!
Yes I did put some slugs killer on the veg, but still the slugs were not scared (maybe had reduced some already but not all!) And sometimes I worried those pesticides are not safe to eat though they said it is safe!

How would my parents be in UK lei? I mean they were farmers in HK! But my father changed occupation when he was 19 (which means he was a farmer b4 he was 19) and moved to an urban area and my parents never returned to the village to plant veggies la.
Farmers in HK don't have sheep la, they might have some ox on the mountain + chicks/hens + pigs + veggie lor.

I think I can only try it on a very small scale, like a few pots to start with as it would be a bit odd to dig it all up and turn it into a plot? Neighbours see it from the bedroom might object???

My father likes growing things a lot ga! When we lived in public housing estates, he will do a few plots on the so-called balcony and we get chillies, tomatoes, 龍利葉 and some plants (eg, 米仔蘭,鐵樹. The plots he had at his place of work is all dug up from the hills and slopes, I think...it's about 1/2 basketball court size? So we had a lot to eat in the summer.
He even went fishing when he worked near the sea and we had 石斑,石狗公, etc to steam or make soup...yum yum...but grandma thought it is too dangerous for my dad and said she would never eat those fish that he caught, so my dad didn't fish anymore since.

The town I live don't have any chinese grocery shop. So if we need to buy chinese grocery, we need to go to London. Lucky that my husband works in London, that's why still got the weekly supply of chinese grocery jar!
