It's truly scary. I was afraid to lose her. 肺炎could be very dangerous and the temp raise up critically high in very short time. So must check the temp very frequently. 沙門士菌(肚痾)causes high fever, too. The thing was, she had high fever at mid night, we went to 24 hr 門診, the Dr. said it is 流行性感冒. I was calm and fed her with medicine regularly, in case of high, took her to warm water bath, for real high, gave her 肛藥...... But the temp was still up and down for couple day. One day, she had high fever, we decided to sent her to emergency for thorough check, so she had X-ray and urine test... the Dr. said it was 初期肺炎, no harm if under medication, and prefer to stay home. So, we took care of her at home. But the fever jumped up to 106 next day early morning, so we immediately sent her to St. Teresa. The kid took an X-ray again, and got the urine, bubu, blood, 鼻涕.....for test. the X-ray result came out real quick, the 門診 Dr. first 斷証為初期肺炎(最妙是: x光片醫生話無事), 我同醫生講小朋友有肚痾, 佢不為意(因吃消炎可以引致肚痾), 當時當肺炎醫及立即入院吊salt water. 其後有耳炎及喉嚨炎, 4日後大便報告出, 證實有沙門士菌, 再著手醫肚痾, 開葯殺沙門士菌, 所以d fever一直不退. 最大兇手是: 沙門士菌. We have no clue how come she got 沙門士菌 as we are quite clean and cautious about hygene. It is really hard to avoid.
The lesson here is : Dr. is not quite reliable. A good and experienced Dr. is VERY important, especially in such kind of emergency. So, u better locate one reliable Dr. who also walk at the private hospital for security sake.
