This morning we went to IKEA to shop, try to go there to try their $1 breadfest, but I am late for it, tried their $1 muffin, it's taste very good, I also have a cup of Decaf Coffee (free refill), then shop with my son, bought a lot of small items.
Then at the cashier exit, bought a hot dog and Yourt. I have also bought TWO bag of frozen "Swedish meatballs" for $19.99 (with one free bag of Gravy Power), try these so tasty.
tonia - welcome onboard... we use to have the hotdog when we shop in Ikea.
last weekend they claimed they have a big sales - but not many things to buy... things are getting expensive in Ikea.
just want to share my worry - I got my medical report - saying I do have couples of cysts and fibrous in both my breast and pelvis... anyone have knowledge about this ?
doctor will arrange specialist for me to extract the liquid from the cyst to determine what is the nature of cyst - just wish to know more about this....
anyone know what is the cause for the cyst/fibrous? any website (in chinese) that I could get more info and what it will turn to be?
i had lived in Toronto few years ago. i also thinking of let my kid student in toronto maybe few more year later. i just want to know what are you thinking about the school life in toronto? i just want to get some more information and suggestion.
some of my girl friends also want to send their kids over to Toronto to study - My advise to them is - will the parent come along with the kids? if not, better wait till the kids finished F5.. otherwise, the kids might not be able to take care of themselves.
besides, when they were young, they might be tempted by many others things especially when the parent is not around.
the school life here is fantastic (per my godchildren said). they love school, they classmates or so. just like now, during the summer - they kept saying missing their friends at school....
education here is more lively - more self-started. Unlike HK, spoon feed, so there the kid were trained to think while they were young (from grade 3 onwards). they have their own assignment and project to hand in (where they learn how to organised and do the research work).. I will say much better than in HK (at least compare to my niece/nephew school in HK)
ziggy -depends on what is your thought - come to toronto for good or just for study. If planning to come here for good and will stay here to look for work when the kid graduate.. then the earlier the better. As it is easier for the kid to adopt to the school system and make friends and connection for their future job hunting.
Hey doggie - how are you? How is you body condition? Have you MELT from the heat of Toronto?? Here is hot too if the temp is over 25C because we have no air conditioning, people are really happy w/ the weather after last month's servere flood.
Just past 3 weeks of the summer holiday for my kids = my hard times, my son just finished his week of soccer camp, but he keeps saying BORING BORING, bad holiday, not happy. He just doesn't want to stay home while I don't want to go out to get burnt, or tan my skin, it's really killing me under the sun. But still have 6 more weeks to go, next month I am sending him to a whole day camp in U of Calgary from 8:30 to 4, see how he cope w/ it, & another day to Drumheller to explore the dinosaurs, but have to dirve 1and a half hour for just a half-day camp. The gas price is really high, 94.9 at ESSO my nearby street mall, don't really want to go out & waste money!!!!
But the problem is I have to go to work and take the 2monsters w/me that make me can't concentrate much. Looking forward to Sept, my girl will be in kindergarten, but only 5 mornings, but its better than now.
Calgary - i am fine - still alive under the heat and humid. I thought you will "leave" us as haven't saw you for a long while.
the gas price is so high - dare not to drive far away - so - decide to join the tour to Boston in the coming long weekend for a break - I think I deserve a vacation
my elder god son - attend the summer school - biology - so no soccer game. younger one got idle at home - like yours - keep saying boring boring. Playing Computer games all the time. Initially plan to go camping again - but with the hot weather and high gas fuel... just forgot that.
my god daughter - attend the level 6 swimming class - got failed :-( - have to resit the test. This week - attend the drama course - might go to see her play next week (if she said o.k.)
for us - life as usual, do gardening, lawn etc. and it is almost Aug.. summer will past soon :-(
ckkwkl
where r u all these time? so quiet in the bk, thought everyone is away for vacation :-( .
Boston - I love that one, but my godchildren like to go east side mario more :-P - as they are free refill of bread - since they are the "eating Monster". Regular dishes could not fill up their hugh stomach...
wish you all have a happy civic holiday.
doggie
i am still here, but just read not write. btw, it is so "mung" to have 1 page loading so long. but it is already better for these 2-3 days, so you see me leave message lor.
haha, i can just order 1 lunch + 1 extra soup and the 3 of us share. if my mom is coming with me, then order 2 lunches. where is east side mario? what type of food do they serve?
ckkwkl - east side mario - is located on Hwy7 and kennedy - right outside the markville mall. Food is more or less like boston pizza - but more choice on the pasta, chicken wings and misc others.
price is close to boston pizza too. One thing my godchildren like to go there - is kid under 10 or so, will have the treasure hunt -, birthday kid will have a free lucky draw etc. - they one time won the $10 cash coupon. so the kid really have fun lor.
lichee - yes, property market rise a lot at least 10% depends on the location.
North york claimed to have good education board - so the property here is expensive.
could check the official property listing www.mlsl.ca for price checking
I lived in Toronto-North York before. I came back in HK for 7 years already-to get marry. And now I have one boy-5 years old and one liittle girl-3 years old.
Yes, York Mills area is good. Especially school for kid, therefore my parent bought a house in that area when I was young.
I am planning to move back as well in the future. But at lease finish Primary school in HK.-I wanted them to learn more Chinese.
