Before I get married, I have the similar case as you. (I lived by myself only) "屋企好多野已經過晒期" . Doll noodle 過晒期, potato chips過晒期, Campbell soup 過晒期...and many can food 過晒期. I was lazy to cook, just buy cooked food from outside or order delivery.
After I gave birth to my son, the situation getting improvement. I have maid and Mother-in-law to take care the cooking issue ma....
Now, I still can find some cookies, biscuits and candies 過晒期 at home. You know, everytime I need to eat, I will think it will make me getting fat, then I control myself not to touch them....
