Very annoying ar! There is no rubbish collection since last week and up to now, there is no one come to collect the rubbish!!!
My wheelie bin is all full up and more rubbish is coming everyday. I don't know where should I put the rubbish la?!
I heard that if you don't put in the wheelie bin (just put the sack on the floor or if the rubbish is too many which makes u can't close the wheelie bin lid), the rubbish men will not collect the rubbish ga!
But where should I put the rubbish jeh if they don't come to collect them for more than a week and my wheelie bin is all full up la!

I see the the dump truck is collecting rubbish in my street now!!! I think the service's back to normal, be patient la...

normally how long do they come to collect it? every week or every 2 weeks??

yeah me 2!! even i got wii here for over a year, i just played once or twice only! and now martin is always busy at work, so the wii just sat in the living room for a long times!!!

and last time i went to centreparcs, one of my friends bought the ds lite, wow luckily i didnt buy it (coz i was thinking to get one) after i played it, it made my eyes so tired!!!!!!! lol

Hope so la, if not today, I will ask the council when to collect the rubbish and ask them to advise me how to put the rubbish when my bin is all full up!

For the recycling box and the compost bin (brown wheelie bin which can put grass, gardening waste), they collect it every 2 weeks.

Is it the same in your area?

Do they collect plastic for recycling?

There was once I put all the recycling things inside the recycling box, (there were pieces of paper, glass bottles, tins) and they were all mixed up in the box. Then the rubbish men didn't collect my recycling box, instead they left a note saying I need to separate the recycling items!!!

Of course I was angry cos I think they still could collect the items first and left a note for me. So I would know next time I needed to separate the items! Then I had to wait for another 2 weeks for them to collect the recycling items which meant I could not put any extra items in as the box was full already! What a good excuse for them to do less even when we had paid a lot of council tax!

my council collects rubbish, paper, cans & bottles, plastic, and wasted food every week. However, they collect grass and garden waste every 2 weeks.

Yes, a green box with lid for it~it is very very stinky smelly and easy to mould in summer.
It is for left over, egg shells, fruit skin, chicken bones, pork bones etc

hoba was v annoying as well, so he couldnt wait and took all rubbish to the recyling centre himself .....basically he goes there quite often coz we hv lots of boxes and empty plastic bottles.. and we take the kids there sometimesl, i think it's a very good enviromental lesson for them.. but they hv to stay inside the car coz there not allow kids out the car gar!

I have never heard about it, so interesting!

If stink, maybe u don't recycle those food waste lor, so just leave those box empty. Do your neighbours recycle food waste? I can see some of my neighbours don't bother to recycle ga!

Do they collect normal rubbish there as well? I mean those not for recycling?
We dumped large rubbish in those dumping site, too but never thought of dump normal rubbish there.
