Hi Sandra,
My son is 13 months old and he starts to have temper tantrum. For example, I was reading story book with him the other day and daddy comes home I told him we have to stop for awhile and greet daddy first. Once I put away the story, he starts to twist his body, hit his head against my chest and whining. And the other time i was about to feed him but the food is too hot, i have to go get another bowl, he starts acting out twist his body, throw himself against the chair, turns his head left and right. I explain to him why I need to go away and why we need to greet daddy but he seems not understand it and the bad behavior.
I read some of your threads about praise and ignoring but I am not sure if it works for a 13 months old kid since he seems not understanding much now. I would appreciate if you can guide me how to deal with it. Thanks!
