小BMom, Talking about kid going to school. Tiffany also cried a lot when she was first put in school. Even now, she sometimes asks if she can stay at home. I think the cause is she finds it too happy at home and she likes to spend the time with grandmom much.
I enrol Tiffany in the summer school. My schedule is 2 weeks' school and then 1 week's holiday and so on. Last time, after 1 week's holiday, she asked if she could have more holiday. (Usually during holiday, we would go out, swimming, playing etc. and that's why she likes holiday more of course.) She cried and asked us to stay at home and play with her. We talked to her, negotiated with her. She seemed to understand but then still refused to go. At last, we had to hold her up and take her out.
That's why I don't let her have all two months' summer holiday. Otherwise, it will be a great problem if she starts school again in Sept.
Siu B Mom>> yes, three weeks for Tiffany. But that'a alright. I don't think she remembers it now
I too have times of thinking being a FT mom to spend more time with the kids. But I know myself. My personality does not fit to be a FT mom. How nice it would be if there is a half -day job for me
小BMom, yes and so I have to go to school next week. This year, my class is average and so there will not be such good results like that of two years ago.
Although my Tiffany only has a 10-day holidy, I also enrol her for a 7-day summer course (from 9:30 am - 11:45 am) and plans to take 2 days off to play with her / to have a trip
Michelle, I also want to have a short trip with Tiffany. I am thinking of 長隆 zoo. 小Bmom, have you been to there before? Any comment?
Like you, I don't think I can be a full time mom. Last week, when my in-laws were on holiday, I spent a lot of time with Tiffany and I found that I really didn't have the patience to face her all day. In my school, there are part-time teachers. I have also thought of that but then though the part-time teachers receive 50% salary, they have to work more than "half of the school time."
小BMom, I am just viewing your pictures. It seems nice. If my husband has holiday, I hope to go in mid-August. Did you have buffet there? Is it OK?
I think it is also good to take some practical courses. If your niece takes Sports, she may be a sports teacher. But personally, I also like Hotel more. But it is better to finish studying before the wave of Disney.
