謝謝你的意見, 我諗我地今年唔會去啦, 放完產假仲邊度有假, 你估尼度係英國咩, 有6個月產假, 如果全程係bf我諗都ok, 因為英國d水係唔同d, 但媽媽要食得好d, 我老爺奶奶屋企d野好難食, 加上唐餐又貴, 如果仲要bf嘅話我未必頂得順, 舊年8月返去剛剛有左仲未知, 點知攪到廋左4kg, 好彩阿b都頂得住, 返來先知原來有左

我都好想bf, 不過我要返工唔知埃得幾內, 聽講又返工又揼奶都唔容易, 你先生都是英國人嗎? 我地每年都會返去1, 2次, 唔係x'mas就係summer, 次次返去我都會廋, 4月英國都仲未熱, 好大風, 記得帶多件外套比bb同自己啊!!

By the way, your daughter is Gorgeous!!!

I'm not sure about the tax stuff, my husband handles it. Yes, drugs here are very expensive. But I never pay attention to the price of the prescribed drugs, I always get whatever the doctors prescribe. I never really compare them to those over-the-counter drugs, so can't tell you the difference.... Some stronger drugs always require doctor's prescription (you can't buy them over the counter), I wonder how people can buy those online or in Canada??
My in-laws bought a Cosco carseat for my son to use when we visited them in Nov, but my husband didn't like it. Although it's expensive, we love the new carseat (Britax) because it is so stable that it feels like it's part of the car!
Within 10-min drive? Your home must be very close to everything! We always like to drive to new places to look around, but now it's a little bit harder as my son doesn't enjoy sitting in the carseat for too long. We still manage to go to places within 2-3 hour drive. We can't wait until he's older so we can travel more!

My son always sleeps in his own crib. At first his crib was in our room, but when he was 4 months old, we moved his crib to his room. We use baby monitor to listen to him, so we know exactly what he's doing and when he needs us!
We know it's harder to break the habit once the baby becomes a toddler, that's why we started to let him sleep on his own room once he can sleep well through the night. My nephew (1 month older than your son) also sleeps with his daddy & mommy. My brother and sister-in-law tried and tried, but he just wouldn't sleep in his own room. I can't really give you advice on that, maybe other moms with older kids can share their experience with you! Sorry

It is an accident as when I drop off my presciption, he told me it is just a counter drug which on the shelf, but when I reconfirm while I pick up my drugs, she told me it is higher version. the counter is up to No.3, and the doctor put No.7 as it is stronger, but it is the same brand. I look at the web site, it doesnt really say it is a prescribible drug, so I assume they just collect the extra dispencing fee as they dont store it in the counter.

I am not sure if it is the same in US, in here, the drugs are similar price, but the dispencing fee varies. The lowest so far is $7 and many pharmacy charge over $9. or more. Remember it is per drug, not per precription.

I know car seat doesnt last long as it recommend the life span is 6 years regardless how good the condition, we just try to maximize our saving. Yes, our house is very close to shopping centre, but we take public transport to work as we both work in downtown. We only use the car for shopping and pick up/drop off my daughter. My husband doesnt like driving and he is so scare of driving as well. He is not confident to drive by himself and he only drive alone to daycare, otherwise, he needs me to sit next to him. How about you, do you like to drive?

Did you watch Apprentice? The first one to get fire is an attonery. Just curious why so many attoneries come for this show as I think each time atleast one or two are attonery? Is being attonery doesnt make enough money? It is a professional and why they want to switch to different field?

I am still BF now (Alexandra is 6 months old now) and I went back to work at around week 10. Well, it is not easy and you will get strange looks from others after you pump milk (coz the pump is so noisy!!!!). I get up every morning at 0630 hrs to BF my daughter and then go to work. I will pump milk in office around 1030 hrs. Then I went back home for lunch and BF her again. Coz my milk supply is quite low now, there is no need to pump milk in ther afternoon. After I got home around 1800 hrs, I BF her again.

I think lots of mum here have gone through that. I think deebrown BF her daugther until she was more than 1 year old, did you deebrown??

Thank you for your advise, but the problem is I live in Tuen Mun and I'm working in TST, it has to take an hour for a jounary in the morning and an hour back home as well. I think I can't be like you can BF during the lunch hour. What I can do is BF before work and pump milk at work and BF again when I arrive home. By the way, which milk pump are you using? I only bought the manual one by AVENT, do you think I should get the electric one??

Hi, don't worry too much about BF, you can do it if you want!
I know many working moms also just has direct breastfeeding in the morning and at night, 2 times a day. But a electronic manchine is definately essential. Otherwise, I am sure you will give up BF soon. I suggest you to buy Medela Swing as it is silent and easy to be carried. I've just bought one to my sister who has just given birth to her little girl.

Plus, you can try to go to the BF forum. You can find many useful suggestion there.

I agree that I am very lucky. Coz my workplace and my home is only a 10 minute walk.

I bought an AVENT manual pump also from the start. However, once I 'suceeded' in BF after a month, I bought a 'Medela' mini-electic (one pump only). It works much more efficient than manual pump. Also, your hands won'ts hurt that much from all the pumping action. But the drawback is that it really sounds like an electric drill and you cannot be discrete at all when pumping in the office.

About two months ago, I bought another Medela (cannot remember the name, but it is the double version of mini-electric). If you ask me, I will recommend this one to you. Coz double the action, half the time. Also, it is less noisy!!! However, it is quite expensive, costs around $1,200 from Babyoutlet. (already discounted!!!)

Also, I suggest that you should buy a 'Fridge-to-go'. It is like a small bag with 'ice pack' lining. You can order it directly from them by phone and they will deliver it to you. It is very convenient and you just stick the whole thing into the freezer at home/when arrive work. Before you return home, just keep the expressed milk inside and it can be kept cool for up to four hours. Also, I am using AVENT cups to keep the milk. It is reliable and seldom leak. However, one can only be sterilized for three times, i.e. can only be used for up to four times as it is already pre-sterilized when bought.
