he is supposed to learnt 45 words by the end of his reception year, but up to now, he only learnt about 29 words, he got to learn 16 more words next term, he will be quite busy
he can remember all the phonics (letters) he learnt, that is 26 letters+some double sounds such as ee, ai, th, sh etc, he can tell me how to say these correctly, but his hand writting is terrible!
sometimes i am impatient and get angry with him

Louise,

as i talked about Trevor with Yatjeh, do you have any problems with twins learning? how many words can twins read now? trevor reads some words such as " up" "mum" "dad" "me" "cat" "dog"......he always forget how to read "we", i don't know why, he learnt this word many many times, but he always forget "we"sometimes i am impatient and get angry with him

he is ok with maths, learning some simple adding, like 4 +3=7. very simple one. how are twins doing?
twingirls,
i am not rushing him ar, we had a parenting evening last week, we just found out that they have to learn 45 words by the end of reception year, and he can read around 28/29 words at the moment. so he will be busy next term.
the teacher said he is doing between potential (very good) and average. i think this is my fault as i never teach him or rewise with him at home. if i spend more time with him, he won't be just above average ga.although my parents said that is good enough, but i don't agree lor.
i think you misunderstand me la, i don't mean 嘅英文就知道點讀. of course, i know they can say elephant when they see an elephant. what i mean is, how many words they can read from a book.
