Actually , you can't confirm whether it spread to "lymph" just by cutting the the core bad cells.
The lymph is running through every part of your body by lymph system(like blood system ), how can you cutting it off ? You can only tell by doing blood tests weeks after surgery...
By doing surgery , you can only tell whether the bad cells significantly spread to breast/rib bones, or inner tissue parts.
So, if she really use the word "LYMPH", it 's ODD.
