wow...you're very environmental-consious ah...even take them to recycle collection boxes. Hubby is the one who is responsible for doing the bin and he refuses to separate the rubbish, saying we are paying too high council tax already and they have to the work themselves! As a matter of fact, UK Council tax is one of the highest in Europe. So I have no say even if I want to be 'greener'.

BTW, do you gals bring your own bags to supermarket now to carry the shopping ga?

hello pretty mums,

i hv a silly question to ask:

i am going to renew the passport for marcus and asked marcus's classmate's mum to countersign the form & passport ..

my question is, do i need to buy his mum sth like chocolate or anything else? I told hoba about this but he said it's not necessary.. just a little help.. and people dont expect anything.. but to me, if someone help then i want to show my appreciation..

what i worry is if i buy sth for her, she may think i look down on her.. and i m too material mind giving her gift... u know what i mean??

Btw, she's a mauritious born chinese.

please help!

How well do you know her ah? I think if you know her, say more than just hi and bye and you talk to her quite often, it doesn't really matter la. But I think for us Chinese, we always think it is a good gesture to say thanks with a little something (like fruit or chocolates) geh.

I asked our GP to sign for Carlos's passport form and photo and there is a charge...so it's fair enough. My cousin-in-law is a teacher and he always gets asked by his student to sign forms but not sure if he gets any goodies in return.

BTW, is she qualified to countersign the form and passport photo?
