1. Peg pxxxxx - hugh, heavy... but comfortable, flat (for sleep is better)
2. umbrella stroller - light, easy to handle but uncomfortable for sleeping

Even through typhoon, sometimes depend on the airline company, they'll still flight on schedule, no worry. Last time, when I go to Japan, same situation as you, typhoon in HK, but still no need to change schedule & everything alright.
If I were you, I think I'll bring the see dick trolley, as it's more convenience to take, as you still need to bring many other things with you ga........anyway enjoy your trip
