i knew we can just vinegar to descale the limescale. but im wondering... (coz i used one, but using brown one) after u used it, how to get rid of the vinegar smell??? and does it work with all the k ...

How to get rid of the smell???? It is not difficult,
when the kettle is cleaned, you pour away the vinegar, rinse it with water several times, then boil some water again then throw the water away.
Then the smell should be gone. If not, continue the process for another time lor.
Personally speaking, I feel safe to use vinegar rather than those chemical powder, because even if you accidentally drink those vinegar, it is not that harmful! But I can't imagine if anyone accidentally drink those chemical powder?! I think it will need medical attention straight away la.
About your kettle, I am not sure but mine is also silver metal inside. I think every kettle is the same?!

o really? but how about other already in soft water area and HK, what they've put in water to make it soft?? i m so query why diff areas hv diff kind of water gei?

I don't think they put something into the water to make it soft.

It is just naturally come soft water or hard water. U know what I mean? In those soft water area in UK (usually in the North) cos their area generate soft water naturally. So they have soft water lor.

O, my kids start next week and the inset days always the 1st day after holiday gar!
How come they hv homework before holiday arh? siuwa never get homework b4 a long holiday bor!

They have a maths website which the kids can practice the maths there. And the teacher is checking the scores everyweek, so they know who is not doing the Maths online.
And there is a mix up of spelling test after half term (randomly pick up some words from all previous spelling tests), so need to do revision during half term lor!
And the reading book as usual la!

very good la! but how many bulky items per time?
i dont know why there isnt any recycle box for us but i saw our neighbours all got the green boxes in front of their houses... may be we are shop so ...

Did you ask for one from the council?
Maybe they didn't give u one but u can ask for it wor?

In the previous town we lived, the council didn't provide any black wheelie bin for the residence ga. In fact, we needed to buy from the council which costs £30 each.
Here where I live, the council provides all wheelie bins and recycling boxes to the residence for free.
When I first moved in, I didn't have the black wheelie bin, so I just asked for one from the council lor.

I agree with what your hubby said, we have paid enough council tax already, u see apart from rubbish collection, I don't think I have directly benefited from their services lor.
So I will leave all the recycling thingy in the green box, the garden waste in the brown box, so let the council do their job lor.

Now when we go to supermarket, we take our own bags ga. What about you?

Oh I have never thought of buying gift to my friend when he countersigned for us?! And my husband also never received any gift when he countersigned for his friend/colleague!
I think it depends on the friendship la, if it is a very good friend who has known you for many years, then it is just a little help jeh. If it is not very close friend and you think it will 'owe'her something, then better buy a little gift lor.
