Just wonder have you try to mix congee with cereal? Add small portion as it wont affect the taste much, then slight change to all. If the baby is hungry, she/he will eat everything and you just need to be tough sometimes.
There is a big mistake if you just give up and give the cereal back.
Go to 嬰兒食譜 and learn how to make different type of baby food. As I said, add any flavor that the baby like, it may be a long road to find the right one, but it is worth to do it. If not neccessary, I dont like to give medicine as it always come with side effect.

Good luck on you and remember always go for natural food as this is the best for your baby.

How often your husband cook? My husband is not a good cook at all but he doesnt like my chinese food as he complains too plain! If he cook, it takes 45 mins to cook one dish and no one really like it except himself, so he almost give up cooking. Even we go for Indian food, my daughter will not interest.
Does he has any relative in Pakistan or all in HK? Have you been to his home country?

Monique born in HK, so she has HK ID already. I think nowadays rule has changed and it is not easy to get a ID card if the child born overseas, have you tried? I heard many mothers said you need to prove that you have intention to stay in HK for long, otherwise, immigration will not give it.
Regarding on the travel system, I like it as the stroller can be flat, so I can use it at home in order to put the baby. I need one stroller anyway but I think I will go for second hand as it is much cheaper. Bouncer is good as well as saucer, swing...I dont really like it as it only last for very short time and take up too much space at home. Baby monitor...no need as the baby will be next to me. I used to breastfeed while I am lie on the bed...it is so convenience as I can sleep while the baby drink milk, have you tried before?

【明報專訊】牛奶、芝士等乳製食品是兒童發育成長的恩物，但對初生嬰兒來說，可能是引起濕疹、奶癬的致敏源頭，即使是嬰兒每天食用的奶粉，亦要預防敏感源。有兒科醫生指出，初生嬰兒腸道發展未成熟，未能完全消化外來蛋白質，估計坊間逾八成奶粉，都是未能完全水解，蛋白質粒子較粗糙，可令嬰兒過敏，故建議母親餵哺母乳，或使用部分水解奶粉，藉以預防及避免刺激嬰兒未成熟的免疫系統。
仁安醫院兒科顧問醫生莫子慈表示，嬰兒的腸道滲透性較高，未能完全消化的外來蛋白質，有機會進入腸道，誘發敏感機制，因而出現敏感徵狀，如濕疹、奶癬、大便偏硬等。

莫子慈認為，本港的母親普遍對初生嬰兒出現過敏的原因認知性高，但不懂預防方法。他引用香港大學2005年的民意調查指出，在502位受訪母親之中，66%能指出食物敏感是引起嬰兒過敏徵狀的主因，但近37%受訪母親不知道餵哺母乳或使用部分水解奶粉可減少嬰兒出現過敏。

母乳助增強腸道免疫力

他曾遇過不少母親因初生嬰兒敏感而前來求診，「時不時有初生嬰兒出現過敏，其實很普遍，有些母親見到嬰兒的大便偏硬，以為嬰兒『熱氣』而出現便秘，其實這是嬰兒腸道敏感的徵狀」。他又指，嬰兒出濕疹亦是過敏徵狀，較嚴重者濕疹會遍佈頸以下的地方。

至於如何避免嬰兒出現敏感，莫子慈認為，餵哺母乳是最佳選擇，他解釋︰「母乳所含的蛋白質並非牛奶、羊奶一類外來蛋白質，而且能提供全面的營養，容易被嬰兒吸收，故應用母乳餵哺嬰兒約半年至一年，有助增強嬰兒腸道免疫力。」嬰兒1歲後，腸道免疫系統始能適應外來蛋白質，故建議家長待嬰兒1歲後，才嘗試讓他們飲用普通奶類製品。

八成奶粉未達完全水解

不過，現代女性工作繁忙，產後未必有足夠時間餵哺母乳。他表示，可考慮使用部分水解奶粉，但市面上超過八成奶粉皆未達完全水解，故提醒父母購買奶粉時要看清楚產品背後的食物標籤。他指出，因部分水解奶粉當中含有較細的蛋白質粒子，能減低對初生嬰兒未成熟的腸道免疫系統的刺激，減低嬰兒過敏機會。「部分水解奶粉能預防便秘，令嬰兒大便舒暢，而且嬰兒會排出軟身大便，情?如食母乳後一樣。」

Just curious how your husband end up in HK while his parent still in Pakistan? He was brought up in HK, right?

Your husband cook very often! You are lucky as you just need to take care of your child!

Do you think your husband will teach FungFung about his mother tongue? By the way, I believe your husband has some weired last name, how you use it in your son's Chinese name?

All children are naughty from the parents' eyes! You are so lucky to have a husband who support the family as well as do cooking!

Did you translate the full last name or just use the first "沙" to represent the last name?

sorry, I thought shah is your chinese name!
Does your husband teach fungfung his mother tongue? Or he doesnt mind him to speak only Chinese and English.
