if I were you, I will not hire her again... "佢就話It’S ajoke (有人玩佢)" <-- now, she is 玩 her employer ar...
all of sudden she wants to quit.. has she thought about you & your family? And all of a sudden, she said she wants to come back?? she thinks this is a hotel.. just need to check in and check out..??
Only the incident that made you "好啦, 跟住我連野到唔做就走返屋企啦" .. I wouldn't stand it.... if I lost my job because of her unstable emotion... not worth it at all
after all, we hires a maid to help us...not to create more troubles for us to handle.............especially these troubles are her own problem (self created).....
if you can't afford not to have a maid currently and you think overall her performance is acceptable for a short period of time.. you can give her a second chance.. but this time... set a high standard and more rules for her to follow.. especially on those items you are not satisfied with her (it's rather a good chance to set new rules)...
This would be her last chance and she must fulfill the requirement in order to prove that she has the heart to stay... since she resigned it this time.. .just ask her to sign a resignation letter first with the date left blank. and tell her once she couldn't fulfill the performance, you will execute this resignation letter.
I once had a very bad experience - my previous maid submit her resignation to me claiming that she was so tired and nervous to take care of my 3-year old son Since she was very insisted and I have no other choice but to find a new maid. Right after I signed the new maid, she told me that she wanted to continue to work in my house until the contract end as her sister would come to work in Hong Kong, by the meantime she wanted me to borrow her HK$8,000 to pay for her sister's agency fee.
At last (of course, all were bull shxx) - after she borrowed HK$3,000 from me, then she run away suddenly on her day off, she also stolen my gold and diamond jewelery worth more than HK$100,000 as well as borrowed money from loan shark.
