His account is now blocked by the BOC bank for this reason.

This morning my C6 found that his investment account with BOC could not be operated on-line. Then follows a number of calls. No result and he asked me to go personally to the bank to enquire waht has happend (as these are joint accounts of me and him)

I think their procedure is so stupid that they block the acconts first with the same name and then follows the verification in detail. Maybe in ten days or a month, before releasing the account.

By the way, the name being talked about is the head of the investment company abusing client's investment money, which was jsut reposted in the new jsut yesterday.

The bank finally phoned my C6 that they have released the account at 4.00pm and just said one word "sorry". d

But this morning the staff gave me such hard feeling by saying words like "what has yuor husband actually done? He should be responsiblefor the thing that he has done and show up personally to the bank office in Hau tak where he open his account."

Their manner shows they are treating me a robber though their words don't appear like it.

It really takes us a great deal of unecessary effort and being insulted too.

You could file your complain against the staff to BOC, I believe that staff needs some re-education on how to deal with customers.

Thanks for your advise but possibly I'm not going to complain that staff cos most likely it wuld just end up receibing the words like "apology or sorry" which I guess won't compensate my hard feeling, unless they let me slap her face!!

But on the other hand I may plan for claiming the countable loss (Small Claims Court) which we may have incurred uring the day. taking into account the loss of right for stock buy/sell transaction for the day. It may be vague but it's more concrete talking about monetary issue.

And we will transfer all our funds to other banks and close all our accounts with this bank. (though it's only a little amount)

Thanks first. But I have checked my accounts in other banks like HSBC and Charter, and East Asia, and it turn out no problem with withdrawal and transfer. But I would take your advise and watch out for this.

I guess it is only with BOC which is so stupid to have done this.
