I will go to HK with baby and we will stay there for almost 2 months. Which bank did you buy the travel insurance for the whole family for such long trip?

I live in toronto.
you could get the out-of country claim form from OHIP and submit all the receipt that you have from HK. OHIP will reimbursement partial expenese to you.
i did not bought any insurance when I travel to HK (as company do have the drug plan). when I submit my claim thru' my company's insurance company, they got me rejected saying I should claim from the OHIP first, whatever balance left unclaimed, then submit to the insurance for reimbursement.
it take me about 4 weeks to get the OHIP claim... and roughly 80% were paid back by OHIP. my claim was just an general consultation and prescription for the cold/flu, nothing serious...
but need to make sure the receipt from HK did listed out , consulation (which will be 100% covered) and prescription fee (zero coverage) with diagnosis.
i am kind of tricky, after knowing the lesson from previous claim just ask the doctor to state consultation fee.. then 100% claimed back by OHIP. Instead of what he used to put "consultation and prescription"
