i've two cats at home before my first baby was born (0612) and I'm now on my 24th week of pregnancy la. Since I have cats for more than 10 years la.. and myself don't have 敏感 to cats.

My first baby so far is okay with the 2 cats around. But for sure, you have to keep everything clean. My maid will have to vaccum and mop the house every morning to ensure the cat's fur won't stay lor.

Also, you should take blood test of 弓漿虫血清抗体 for both yourself and your cat to ensure either of you have 弓漿虫.

Hello,

我都有養兩隻貓貓,
我幾年前買左部空氣清新機, 都有幫助啦 !
不過怕BB出世後養氣管敏感, 但老公話到時先算 !!
唔要貓貓我都做唔出

for you cats, you can take them to the vet la to do a blood test.

for youself, do you visit private doctor or public? last time, my doctor (private) do the 抗体 test for me together with other blood test when I was around 16 weeks.

I don't have 空氣清新機 at home ar.. but my first baby is 16 months old la.. so far seems okay la~ I just told my maid to vaccum every morning and try to keep the cats from the rooms lor.

I've heard that if you already have cats for so many years... the baby will love cats, too gar~ and my 16-month old really loves my cats.. he will call their names now~

Ricolas,

have you done your blood test already? You can ask your doctor whether he/she thinks it's necessary la. Basically, the test result only tell you whether you are positive or negative lor.... i think if your cat seldom go out and you keep them clean, should be okay~~

Basically, no matter the test result is positive or negative, you should try your best to avoid touching your cats.. keep the sofa / areas that the cats can go clean... and remember to wash your hands more often, especially you think you've touch the cats/anything they might be on.

I'm not sure if public doctor will do such test?

For private doctor, usually they can do the test together with other tests (so that they don't need to get your blood sample twice). Try ask your doctor.
